How are they doing on the 20-30 business day time frames?

    I submitted my 1798 $5 Half Eagle for crossover at the Baltimore Show on 29 Feb... for the FIVE day service. I just received the coin back yesterday. That "5 day" service turned into more like 10 (work)days. Once they finally got the coin to the Newport Beach PO, it was Mar 13th. The Newport Beach PO shipped it to the LA Central PO where it sat for 11 days... so even though it takes PCGS awhile to live up to its timelines, the USPS can make an aggravating situation even worse.

    Not logged into system until 3/5 (Customer Service Bim says that is because the outside of the package was not marked as to the desired service level.. funny, I have sent scores of other pkgs, w/o marking the outside of the box and never once had a delay).

    I marked the outside of the box on all sides. I package even better than PCGS does. But, no accounting for the USPS, so I don't know if it sat in the back of a safe for a week on its way to Newport Beach.

    Yep, I agree with you. Not just for wait times either, I have had quite a few very serious problems with PCGS recently and I am waiting on someone from PCGS to return one of my many voice and emails I have sent. I am just about to the point where I will no longer be doing business with PCGS. I have a whole document written up about the issues but thought I would give them a chance to resolve the issues first before I let it out here.

    I am curious what the issue is, I have had a few over the years but with a few phone calls I was able to clear them up with decent results.

    huh, I just let my membership expire ATS because of problems I had there (mistakes, failure to return calls and voice mails, etc). Never had the problem with PCGS

    I think PCGS thinks there are 4 business days per week.
