today's Mystery guest played baseball for the Chunichi Dragons of the Japanese Central League, that's about all i know, and i think the card was made sometime in the mid to late 70's.....interpretors welcome.
Here are some 1972's that I recently acquired in 3 separate transactions. For those who remember me posting here with "mystery themes," the only mystery here is why these cards haven't been graded. I will soon remedy that. Please excuse the dust. It seems like more dust appears the more I wipe.
Since I have the 1/1 variation of the base, and the several of the other 1/1's from the set, I went ahead and picked up a few of the next lowest numbered base variation, which is /25.
2009 Topps Unique #11 Tony Gonzalez /25
Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards. Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
A few pickups from the Seattle show today. Love the color in the high number St. Claire card. Just bought the Custer and Sitting Bull card for fun. The guy said he would only sell them together to me, $75 seemed fair to me. Cool cards from '52.
Doug, your St. Claire inspired me to post these. Last week I stumbled upon a complete 1952 Topps REPRINT set and thought it was pretty cool. The set is in great shape. The best part is that I now have a complete Nm-Mt+ set for only HALF the cost of an original Nm-mt '52 Mantle.
Picked up a '63 set to start working on from ebay.... I liked the key cards in this raw Ex/Mt set, so thought it would be a good jumping off point. The Rose is a little beyond my usual centering tolerance, but I can live with it.
bumpin' it up, it's been two weeks.....let's see some cards, you guys and thanks for the nice comments.....here's a few that didn't make it here in time for the year-end mega-sub....
