For the 4 weeks it took, I'm fully expecting the photo to contain

    A: Angelina Jolie
    B: a V-Neck, and
C: Chucky doing his best "Help me, I can't breathe" impersonation

Well, now that Chuck is back on the road, I finally have some time to post a couple scans so everyone can check out his current condition.

    imageimage

Now, unfortunately, Chuck wasn't able to have his meeting...well, at least not officially. For those of you who hadn't heard, Chuck was supposed to meet with Commissioner Bud Selig during his stay in Milwaukee. Unfortunately, as Chuck rolled into town, Bud was climbing aboard a plane to go visit his friends at Congress. From there, he spent some time in New York and then went overseas for the opening series. I had hoped to take Chuck to his meeting around opening day here in Milwaukee, but that didn't work out. SO...I took Chucky to the ballpark so he could breathe in the game just one more time. Here's a few pics.

While waiting for his first drink, Chuck noticed some of the game used jerseys that the team has on display on their Club Level. He took pictures with the Robin Yount & Paul Molitor jerseys near the home plate bar.

    image
    image

We then went into the game and enjoyed our front row seats on the Club Level. Chuck got a great view of the infamous Sausage Race, but wanted to pose for a photo as well.

    image

After the in seat waiter brought out a few more drinks, Chucky got hungry. So, we went out into the gallery and Chuck enjoyed a brat. He spilled a little mustard on himself which made for another great photo op.

    image

After the game, Chuck wanted to check out the Hometown Heroes section of the ballpark on the ground level. On his way, he saw Bernie Brewer sitting in the hall and boy was he excited!

    image

His last stop was at that Hometown Heroes section where he posed with one of my favorite items on display - a game worn Jim Gantner jersey.

    image

Well, that's a photo montage of Chucky's stay here in Milwaukee. Considering he forgot his ID, he sure enjoyed a lot of beer. I wish I could just write my birthdate on my back and they'd call that good enough!

I hope you enjoyed the show...and sorry for keeping him here so long.

I think Chuck needs to visit the Keebler plant and hang with all the little elves and fairys. He could then be accidently dropped into a giant vat of chocolate. At that point, I would be called to dive into that giant vat of chocolate and save little Chucky from getting turned into cookies.

Roland was a warrior from the Land of the Midnight Sun With a Thompson gun for hire, fighting to be done The deal was made in Denmark on a dark and stormy day So he set out for Biafra to join the bloody fray Through sixty-six and seven they fought the Congo war Fingers on their triggers, knee-deep in gore For days and nights they battled the Bantu to their knees They killed to earn their living and to help out the Congolese Roland the Thompson gunner... His comrades fought beside him - Van Owen and the rest But of all the Thompson gunners Roland was the best So the CIA decided they wanted Roland dead That son-of-a-bytch Van Owen blew off Roland's head Roland the headless Thompson gunner (Time, time, time For another peaceful war Norway's bravest son But time stands still for Roland 'Til he evens up the score) They can still see his headless body stalking through the night In the muzzle flash of Roland's Thompson gun In the muzzle flash of Roland's Thompson gun Roland searched the continent for the man who'd done him in He found him in Mombassa in a barroom drinking gin Roland aimed his Thompson gun - he didn't say a word But he blew Van Owen's body from there to Johannesburg Roland the headless Thompson gunner... The eternal Thompson gunner, still wandering through the night Now it's ten years later but he still keeps up the fight In Ireland, in Lebanon, in Palestine and Berkeley Patty Hearst heard the burst of Roland's Thompson gun And bought it r.i.p warrren-his last album when he was dying with cancer is really sad-it would make chucky cryimage WEREWOLVES OF LONDON!!!!!!!!! rock on bro

    Welcome to Wichita, Kansas Chuck

Here is the downtown skyline from across the Arkansas River. The pointy building that you can somewhat see in the background, the Epic Center, is the largest building in Kansas.

    image

Chuck at Lawrence Dumont Stadium. Chuck played here for a week in 2002 with the Wichita Wranglers....who left us last year.

    image

Where's Chuck? Chuck with some of my PSA cards.

    image

Chuck saw my microscope, and mentioned enjoying checking out the cat scan (which has nothing to do with a microscope) so he talked me into setting up a few cool slides for him. The thin section is setting in a little custom made box with a polar filter on the top and bottom. By rotating one of the filters I can make different minerals glow in different colors. Not quite a $5,000 petrographic microscope, but it does the job.The microscope is setting on my "work station."

    image

Checking out an iron meteorite slice. The slice has been etched with acid to show the crystalline structure of the meteorite known as the"widmanstatten" lines. This is visible as a result of the acid reacting different to the high nickel taenite and low nickel kamacite crystals.

    image

Playing with some stone meteorites. While most people think meteorites are iron, 98% of all meteorites are stones.

    Examining some dinosaur egg fossils...

After spending the day playing with various space related items, Chuck noticed an exhaust heat shield I have off a Russian Soyuz space capsule. I told him no, he may damage it. He noted falling through the atmosphere didn't hurt it much. I told him he has black borders and is condition sensitive. Well, Chuck would not listen to me.....so here is the first Chuck video.

Chuck is now bored and as soon as I get an address from Matt, I will send him on his way.

Whenever Chuck wants to visit would be fine with me. Need a little notice so I can clean up the guest bedroom. Yes, we still have 5 riverboat casinos in Shreveport, LA. If Chuck comes to visit in the summer just make sure to pack his bathing suit and sun screen. Temp gets up over 100 on a regular basis here in the summer. Hell, it is supposed to get up to 94 today.

Matt's fine. Just working most of the day and then doing little things around the house afterwards. Getting ready to hopefully put the house on the market this year and find a house with a few more inches of space than this one LOL. When we bought this place we had one little baby and us. Now we have 4 of them plus us!

As for Randy, I guess he is just taken over with the spring/summer growth up there. That's what I heard. I hope that's all it is, I miss the old turkey!

You know how it is though, you step away from this place for a little while and then usually end up posting again.
