Does anyone have a checklist of the cuts that are going to be released in the new UD Exquisite or Playoff National Treasure? From the exquisite Ive seen pics of Sammy Baugh, Mel Hein, Derrick Thomas and Ray Nitschke. Are they going to all be 1/1's again this year like last?
From the Playoff National Treasure Ive seen pics of Unitas, and heard theres going to be a Payton. Hopefully in one of these products they can release some of the tougher guys were all hunting!

I believe that they would. I believe that some of the HOF auto baseball sets include the Perez Steele and yellow HOF plaque cards. I've thought of adding the Goal Line art or Ron Mix cards, but I already have autos of all players that are possible.

I'm thinking of buying some of the cards. I love the look and style of the card , as well as the autographs. The sigs just seem crisper on some of these cards as compared to some of the Immortal Roll's that we bought. I figured I would buy some of these (if the price is right), and than re-holder them with a grade. BTW, I'll be mailing out my cards to you for our PSA/DNA submission (about 150). Do you have a time frame for when you want to send them in?

I've been toying with the idea of encapsulating all the Goal Line Art cards that I have (around 100) - but will hold off for a year or two because of the cost. I may slowly start having them encapsulated....but not right away.
I'll let you know when I receive the order. I want to send the order in w/i the next 4 weeks....definately after the fb HOF class is announced. As a matter of fact, I'll hold off putting the order in in case you or anyone else wants to submit add'l cards after the class of 2007 is announced.

Question for you guys... Are any of you doing index cards? The reason I ask is that the local shop(s) bought a collection of HOF signed index cards from a local collector. A lot of them have "To Tom, Best Wishes...Joe HOF'er". Most of them are under $15 and quite a few are under $10.
I'm not sure if signed index cards, or especially personalized index cards are of any interest to any of your collecting goals, but thought I'd throw it out there. I've recently seen guys like Robustelli, Ewbank, Schramm, Munoz, Hirsch, Fears etc.

wow, we have all been quiet lately. Well I was finaly able to do some scanning last night with my new HP scanner. After scanning over 40 cards I decided I was ready to post them. Only to find out that at 200dpi they were over the limit for PSA, didnt check while scanning. However, I had a program that would let me reduce them when I did a save as so that saved time. I like the HP setup as you can crop once and just keep changing cards.
So I have new scans up of my set please take a look. I got the Bell back and scanned in as well. I am sure once we all get stuff back from the recent subs there will be more chatter.

3 of the 5 group PSA/DNA orders popped within 3 weeks... PSA has typically been very fast with the PSA/DNA orders...much faster then with the regular PSA orders (we're still waiting on all 15 regular PSA orders unfortunately).

Greg- i would have rejected the first 2 also. Although the 3rd auto exhibits some slight inconsistencies, it has enough key attributes that it should have been graded. I guess PSA/DNA is just erring on the side of caution.

Almost all the orders were logged in on April 2 and 3 but only the PSA/DNA orders have been graded...none of the regular ones (there are 17 total!!). I'm starting to get nervous because I'd like to have quite a few of the cards prior to the May 31st deadline so that I can reclaim #1 in the Marino basic set. Not that it's a big deal, but I would like my 1st award!!
I got two of the Hickerson's slabbed and both Tagliabue's. I sold both of my doubles to Frank. I also submitted a Wehrli, Irvin, Charlie Sanders, Bruce Matthews about 12 1997 Legends, 2 1977 Touchdown (Nagurski and Dutch Clark) and around 15 cards for my fledgling Heismain autograph set. My Heisman set is in the Collector's showcase right now. There will be a set in the registry before the end of the year (yet another set to chase!!).

Put up the scans when you have a minute - I'd like to see them!! The final 10% will be incredibly tough...at least 10 exist that I need but are extremely tough to find...not to mention expensive (and my money tree has slowly been losing it's leaves lately...).

From my experience, PSA/DNA is not authenticating ANY Luckman autographs. I really don't think they are that certain which ones are his own. I really think the 1977 Touchdown is real and not secretarial/ghost signed. I tried calling PSA but they said to just send them back in (and pay another $45++) which is crazy as they'll just be rejected again. Screw that. I'll probably post an open letter to the graders on the message board and see if they respond.

Welcome aboard Jay. Most of the auto cards in my HOF set are from my 97 Legends set. I really think this will be a landmark set and many of the autos are really cheap write now. HOF'ers, vintage photography, autos on cards, what more can you ask for?
I also like the blue sharpie autos. Too bad some are real tough to come by. Thats what has always kept me from really going after this set. The SP's are killers. The rest are pretty reasonable.

If the set was that easy to build, it wouldn't be a challenge Some of the SP's are really tough. Plus you have the issue that some of the exchange cards were never signed. You can read about which cards were never signed in my "set description"

3 of the 5 group PSA/DNA orders popped within 3 weeks... PSA has typically been very fast with the PSA/DNA orders...much faster then with the regular PSA orders (we're still waiting on all 15 regular PSA orders unfortunately).

Almost all the orders were logged in on April 2 and 3 but only the PSA/DNA orders have been graded...none of the regular ones (there are 17 total!!). I'm starting to get nervous because I'd like to have quite a few of the cards prior to the May 31st deadline so that I can reclaim #1 in the Marino basic set. Not that it's a big deal, but I would like my 1st award!!
I got two of the Hickerson's slabbed and both Tagliabue's. I sold both of my doubles to Frank. I also submitted a Wehrli, Irvin, Charlie Sanders, Bruce Matthews about 12 1997 Legends, 2 1977 Touchdown (Nagurski and Dutch Clark) and around 15 cards for my fledgling Heismain autograph set. My Heisman set is in the Collector's showcase right now. There will be a set in the registry before the end of the year (yet another set to chase!!).

Put up the scans when you have a minute - I'd like to see them!! The final 10% will be incredibly tough...at least 10 exist that I need but are extremely tough to find...not to mention expensive (and my money tree has slowly been losing it's leaves lately...).

From my experience, PSA/DNA is not authenticating ANY Luckman autographs. I really don't think they are that certain which ones are his own. I really think the 1977 Touchdown is real and not secretarial/ghost signed. I tried calling PSA but they said to just send them back in (and pay another $45++) which is crazy as they'll just be rejected again. Screw that. I'll probably post an open letter to the graders on the message board and see if they respond.
