Just missed out on one of those remaining 13....a POP 1 Nordhagen. The winning eBay bidder had a feedback rating of 391. If anybody knows who that is (and can find out if the bidder is willing to sell the card), please let me know. Thanks, Hatch.

For $500 he or she will tell you who it is.
From what I can tell, 707 is the DOLLAR STORE compared to deans_cards. For what that guy charges, if I ever bought anything from him I would expect it to be delivered to me in a frickin' limo.

The front is nicely centered, but the back is worse than 95/5 top to bottom. But I am only displaying the front.

The last year or so I sold my PSA-10 '78 Red Sox to just complete the team in PSA-9. I kinda miss my 10s and thought I'd pick it back up again. Should have kept the: Helms, Evans, Rookie Catchers!!! Oh well, here I go again!

Yaz was always my favorite player. I got to meet him once in the summer of '83, he lived next door to my aunt & uncle. He signed a few cards and I have a Polaroid of us standing in his driveway. I never had the PSA-10 of his '78 card and really need to get one some day. I used to have a PSA-6 of his rookie card and would really like a PSA-8 of it sometime too.

I have a small achievement to share and it makes me very happy. I completed my '78 Red Sox team set filling the Rick Wise and the Bob Bailey today. Everything is just PSA-9 with two 10s so far but seeing the 100% even on a team set is an accomplishment. I'll pick up 10s as I can to improve the collection.

Thanks for asking. Nolan Ryan was the toughest.....never thought I'd find the card. I never got close, even after cases and cases of raw material. It came to me by way of an inbound call from a trader who was looking out for me. He could've taken that card to many other collectors, probably getting more money, but he wanted to help this set make it. We cut a deal pretty quickly, and I jumped on a flight to Southern California to pick it up from him. I owe him a lot for coming to me first. Besides that, back a few years ago, 10's were really hard to find for the tough cards....like the Speier card and George Brett. Many of you helped me put those cards in the set which was great. Nowadays, so many submissions are being made by dealers that most of the 726 cards in the set have dozens of 10's in the market. It's beginning to create a commodity market for 10's, although the good news is that the high prices will be gone soon and the set will be affordable again for the collecting community. I"ll be glad to see that.

Seacam, to your question regarding selling, no plans to sell the set. I may sell some spares, though...most likely on consignment through one or two of the guys I've worked with. They'll probably post them on eBay or call around to collectors directly...I'm not sure. I also plan to build a backup set for my kid. I still have a stockpile of raw material that needs to be graded. I'll try to get it out to the community when possible (I already got a nasty note from one collector/dealer today when I didn't sell him any spares -- he said I somehow strung him along and said I would. Ouch -- I sure wouldn't have done that intentionally). It's a great vintage year, so I'd like to see more collectors try to put it together. Now that there's only a couple of Pop 1 cards left in the entire set, the prices for graded cards have already began to plummet as the Populations have increased. The prices for raw cases and boxes should follow quickly, so I plan to avoid buying any more raw material at a premium when building my son's set. Hopefully, it will cost only a fraction of what this main set cost me! Thanks again to all of you for your kind words.

I see my set is still top 10 (No Spokes For These 78's) in the active registry list. I'm still short a PSA 9 Jackson Todd .... but I also see the pop is now 30. I imagine somebody can help me out in some way to find one?
