collecting RAW Topps baseball cards 1952 Highs to 1972. looking for collector grade (somewhere between psa 4-7 condition). let me know what you have, I'll take it, I want to finish sets, I must have something you can use for trade.
looking for Topps 71-72 hi's-62-53-54-55-59, I have these sets started
Yes, thanks for the kind words Stone!! That Luebber card I believe is the toughest card to find in high grade for that set!! Thanks for posting the N162, it is a thing of beauty!!
Thanks for the help. I'm a big Hank fan. He was the man when I was a kid. I have some Hank Aaron cards from then I intend to get graded. They have been in a box for 30 years, so they should grade pretty high.
I just got this from a fellow board member. It is now one of my favorites.
Collector of 1976 Topps baseball for some stupid reason. Collector of Pittsburgh Pirates cards for a slightly less stupid reason. My Pirates Collection
Thanks...and thanks to vcp i knew how much to bid for it ... i had my esnipe set at 330 not knowing, and lowered it to 257....would have won it either way, but it was nice to make a more educated bid....seems like a good deal for 2 T205 hofers in one card (bad joke - LOL)
Got this Jim Bunning in the mail today for my personal collection. Unfortunately there is a diamond cut going on which I did not notice in the auction scan...
I thought these cards were pretty cool, Fleer Corporate Archive Proofs. If you look at the windows, both cards are missing the items they would normally be inserted into them. Plus they were about $5.00 each
Mail arrived today . . . Some more additions to my HOF RC set (and another Leaf to submit) and a Bunning ball that I was quite surprised to get as most have been received RTS's lately and the dreaded "too busy to sign" letter (the smudges came off without much problem):
BDB - now I know why you are selling the other Landry rookie... that upgraded copy is awesome!
OTW - always nice to see the Tyler Rose get some love. What do you expect that Baugh rookie to grade?
Danby - that SGC holder is pretty cool, I never saw one of these before. Are all of those Scrapps cut the same so there is a "standard" insert for them, or does SGC have to create differrent inserts for different cuts on these?
After getting my underbidding butt kicked around on eBay for what seems like an eternity, my patience has been rewarded with a few wins on the various sets I am working on starting with a few nicely centered, mid-grade TAAs:
A few additions to my favorite project as well, a decently centered 1948 Leaf set, including a few of the short printed high numbers:
And lastly, another Leaf and a few more 1950 Bowman commons to slowly close in on 70% of the set:
Granted, nothing spectacular, but I am one happy nerd with the Leaf pick-ups especially.
Expecting the Baugh to grade a 4. They could be generous, but they haven't been kind on my 48's lately. BTW, seeing your new additions reminds me that you've been beating me out on a few lately. STOP THAT!!!
Also, the SGC inserts for the Scapps are custom cut for each individual piece.

Can't help but add my voice to the chorus of wows on that N162 Beecher. That's a treasure, Doug. Thanks for sharing.

Sorry for the crappy picture, it was taken with my Iphone. I'm frankly scared of scratching a $2100 card on the scanner

Better scans, plus an extra one I got around to scanning:
I've got a thing for Superfractors and players' best cards. I just wish they didn't cost so damn much.
Also bought a few packs of UD Draft football when I was at the store a few days ago getting supplies. This little beauty popped out
18/50. Not bad for eleven bucks worth of packs

I'm lovin' that Landry RC! Sweeeeeeeeet!!!
Don't you just love that custom SGC cutout for the Scrapps Tobacco. Something PSA and BGS will NEVER be able to do. It looks awesome that way.
