one thing that I have noticed is that 9 oc does not nessesarily bring 7 prices. it could bring more or less depending on the severity of the OC and set.
steve
imo a 52 that is not that much oc would bring more then a 7 price.
not 3000 dollars more just a lil more say 40 50 bucks tops.
Steve brings up a good point - the l/r centering is not that bad, and t/b is roughly 70/30 - technically it could be a borderline 8 NQ. I'd consider it halfway between a 7 and 8 SMR: $150. SMR for a 9 is $850. Since nomar is a turd sandwich, he quotes what a low pop common 9 NQ would go for...
nomar sniped and outbid me for that 9OC 2 weeks ago at 158 bucks or so. it is astonishing the idiots that are going to pay 5X what it sold for 10 days ago.
i can see him getting away with it on star cards as they're popular, but i agree on commons, i would think it'd be the same usual suspects that would bid and see past this horseshi...
Why aren't any of the buyers of his crap cards getting upset when they receive the qualified cards in the mail? Or, are there that many uninformed people out there with more money than brains buying PSA graded cards?
jr - i agree with steve, it looks 65/35 which is technically within 9 standards - worst case 8NQ, which might sell better than a 9OC. Either way, sweet card!
I sent it in to PSA requested an unqualified 8. They told me it was too OC for 8. I'm not so sure about that. I have seen 8's with worse centering. The pixel guy can correct me, but I think it's 67/33. The requirement for 8NQ is 70/30, but of course the grader has discretion to override that if he feels overall eye appeal outweighs the strict numbers. I've considered asking Joe O. about it.
Anyway, if nomar got ahold of it, he'd pretend HE submitted it to PSA and say: "I was robbed! This card should be an easy 9!" and get bids over $2,000. He'd be lying, but not so bad as in most of his other auctions.
THAT IS A BEAUTIFUL CARD!! I think it is somewhat of an illusion, since the black box goes all the way to the left, when it is off cut to the right. It gives the card very decent eye appeal in my opinion.
Man oh man! Nomar has upped the ante, he must have gotten sick of me e-mailing the bidders on his auctions and alerting them to his scammer ways. Not only is he keeping the bidders private, but he is calling 8OC's PSA 10's and the like. Wow, what a jerk. I say we just keep hammering away on Ebay and hope they take some action.
I hope the guy that had the information on how to find out bidders names even if they are private pops back up.
I just hit Ebay with 10 listing violations for him as well. EVERY one of his auctions are a scam. Feel free to cut and paste these 10 auction numbers when you report this loser to Ebay for misleading titles.
Hey check out in her description---she stated this was a MINT 9 graded by PSA---What i wan't to know is who is the arse that cracked it out and sent it to PSA requesting a 7?
Now that is just plain wrong, the card is a PSA 7, listed in both the title and auction description as a PSA 9. Absolutely incredible - this one should be easy to get rid of.
WOW!!! I just checked and 12 of the 13 auctions that he had up an hour ago are GONE. I looks like Ebay took some action on this fool. It goes to show that if we use our collective collector muscle we can see some results. Although I am surprised that Ebay has someone working at this time of night.
and went to PSA and looked up the Cert number here.

Now what exactly does the 9 OC mean? Does it mean that it is a 9 in every other aspect other than the centering. Does this mean that the card has been trimmed. I am new, and want to learn more about this. I totally proclaim my ignorance, and hope that some kind soul will bring me out of the dark, and into the light?
I won an auction July 2 and haven't rec;d the card after numerous emails Irene said I thought I sent it out I'm sorry I didn't but I will. Seven days later no card I emailed again several times then got the response from Irene or Irena that I hope the post office didn't mess this up. The card is just a $39.00 card72 IA Clemente PSA 9OC but a customer wanted it. Now she dosen't even answer my emails...I know that dam post office!!!
It seems like with the Yaz card 'ol Nomar went the final step of advertising a completely different grade than what he was actually selling - not simply trying to slip a qualifier in. That kind of violation might get you suspended from Ebay - here's hoping.

Deveney,
9OC does mean that it is mint in every aspect other than the centering.
The rule of thumb is that if a card has a qualifier, it is equalivalent to a no qualifier (NQ) card 2 grades lower. PSA 9OC for example is on par with a PSA 7.
I just saw something funny. I got a feedback today saying, "NICE CARD, ACCURATELY DESCRIBED". It was for a 1964 Topps Cardinals Team PSA 8. I described it as such. The buyer must have been hanging around nomar too much.
<< <i>Does anybody know if Ebay sends info to the sellers about "why your auction was ended" or do they leave it up to them to figure out? >>
I believe they state which rule you violated so they'd tell nomar his auctions were misleading. Due to the volume of responses, he should be NARU'ed very soon.

If you paid with PayPal, file a non-delivery claim. He (I still believe Irene is a guy) is stringing you along, hoping to get you beyond the deadline for filing a claim. PayPal extended it from 30 to 45 days, but you can file as soon as 7 days after payment.

I'm glad PSA disagrees with you on the grade! Anyway, Nomar can't have it.
It's getting worse... PSA 7 OC = PSA 9 NQ.....
He's also down to the elusive 3 day private auction...
I hope the guy that had the information on how to find out bidders names even if they are private pops back up.

That's because it doesn't work anymore. eBay corrected the bug.
