And we see once again that absolute power corupts absolyutely. Just kidding but it is good to be in control of the update schedule. It must be good to be the king. Congrats on climbing to the top of another tough set. Wonder how well these will hold up when the updates start to roll in in Oct. I had listed the 67 Krazy Pennants to the mix and will add my few as soon as I find where I put them. Have a few more sets on the request list from this era which should be coming up in the next month or so. Fuzz
Wanted: Bell Brands FB and BB, Chiefs regionals especially those ugly milk cards, Coke caps, Topps and Fleer inserts and test issues from the 60's. 1981 FB Rack pack w/ Jan Stenerud on top.
Mike, Found that the 67 Krazy Pennants (insert to the Fb acks that year) was mistakenly put in non-sport. BJ took care of that right away once I noticed and also the 63 Kahn's have been added to the list. I am hoping that you will add these to lists for the next update. Also the 62 FB bucks should be available in the next couple of weeks as well. Will keep you status as other submissions return from the 60's special from April. Now for the compaint. I went through your site as usual to search eBay real quick since your search engine is much much faster and less painful than theirs, when I noticed.................. the error. MOSH has simply MASHed us all for the moment with a big buying spree on previously #1 listed sets. But as I was checking Dav and my feeble fight for second, I noticed that despite having the same lowly number of Golds, I have many more silvers but was listed below him ! Hey, what's up with that ? But before you update, give me a day or two to get my new sets in so that I can actually be ahead there. Thanks for the work on the site, it does add joy to my collecting and makes my searches much faster. Fuzz PS. Also had the 58 CFL set added to the list of FB sets.

Needless to say i gulped and handed them back lol.

Gosh, Fuzz, you're right. I'll fix that next update.
Mike, Have been attempting to needle you a bit if for no other reason than to keep this thread near the top. If you give me a few days, then I will take care of the moving up ahead of him. The old fashioned way. I am surprised that this thread rockets off the front page with great speed and regularity. Many readers I hope, just not many posters yet.
Art, Always room for you in the pool. No matter how you look in the speedo. The good ol' days ? I doubt it but we can have a little fun. I suspect that you are ahead at this point but I have a few in a recent submission so hope springs eternal. They seem to be very strict on grading these especially on the centering. I believe that the book has these up pretty high in price but I would have passed on them as well.
The new strategy for MOSH at this point is to out flank him in this competition since he continues to buy up every nice available main stream set. I have had three added recently with one more pending. I have submissions in that will allow me to add at least three more as well. I recommend that anyone who wants to play for inexpensive short term glory get invovled there. I have a couple of medals for just a few cards, I suspect as we expand the set base to fill out the 30 or so plus sets, the next few months will be easy to get a few anyway. I believe that listing 1 68 test team card will capture a bronze.
Good Luck to all and thank again to my FB dealer buddy for running this crazy thing. Fuzz

Yeah, He did not want a broom though. Only high quality vinatge!
Nice guy.
He is actually going to open up a museum and has a few investment partners joining him.
I had a group of Lake to Lake Packers that I offered top reg participants. He was clearly the most serious of the group and we had a deal worked out pretty fast.
He told me that he is focusing on vintage FB,BB and Hockey. baseball comes later....gulp.
Bank on the baseball cards going up in price. From what I have seen on the football side of the house, MOSH has unlimited funds. Combine that with a quest to complete and WIN what looks to be every set on the Registry and you might as well prepare yourself for the tornado. What MOSH has done in the past year in football alone is astounding. And if/when the Museum is ever opened, i will be first in line to see their collection.

Hey Fuzz - I got slaughtered on all those 1963 Fleer 9's as well ...
Also, those 1967 pennants are fun. Don't know if you're aware of it or not, because I've never seen it documented, but according to this uncut sheet, all the cards were not printed in equal numbers :
Sheesh! Next we'll be adding the individual stamps from the 1969 4-in-1 set. Maybe we should draw the line at cards, at least? No stamps, coins, or posters?
I had snipes in on a couple of those 1963 Fleers, too, Fuzz, but I don't think they even went off. I do have a nice Buoniconti on the way, though...
I was doing some research on Mayrose Franks Cardinals cards on Yahoo! and one of the links sent me right back to this "1960s football olympics sets link.
I gotta say, I've really enjoyed reading these posts and I want to put my "2 cents in" on how I've looked at all these great 60s sets and just can only wonder and imagine the years of "collecting enjoyment", bidding wars, dealing with "raw to PSA submissions", card shows, and I'm sure sooooooo much more, contrats to all! Mr Couldabeena ?!?! I think we have found the root of your set registry strategy issues. Seriously, pricing on 64's is incredible at this point. Adding a 9 is a ridiculous cost. They are almost as bad as 66's these days. Even some of the tougher 8's are going for a lot. Considering the interest on the set doesn't seem to high, I would be surprised if the high prices can sustain. Fortunately, I picked up a lot of 9's (and a 10) early in the game. I also up'd the second place ante on 67's just to make sure you didn't want to take a run at that one. Godd Luck (and with that VP you will need it), Fuzz

Pay attention--Mike(Couldabeena) is ready to respond with the strategy tonight. Maybe he has cut a deal with Mosh to buy his secondary sets for me from the 60s. Or maybe he has convinced Artie to throw in his chips with me--whatever it is I think you're in trouble.
