    You saw what happened to my last modern order after my story about the PCGS field trip! No more parodies for me!!!
    It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

    Ummm. Don't you have a show to get ready for? Oh yeah, you have the easy life living out of state from your office. What a life.... they have to pack everything and set up probably, and the great Coinguy1 just has to fly in and ask where his room and table are. Hope this helps.image

    We need someone (preferably a dealer) to come back from the Santa Clara show and start a thread that PCGS is grading too tight and is killing the market. Those always get a few responses. image

    We could go into details about some coin dealers who ripped people off and were sent to jail for it. One local guy comes to mind.

    Or, we could discuss in great detail our most unsavory encounter with a dealer or collector at a coin show.

    An alternative is to describe the most overgraded coin we've ever seen -- in terms of actual grade and / or value because of it being overgraded -- & the related comments when others saw the coin.

    I wouldn't ever say anything baaaad about Mark. Down where Bulldog lives, they'd say he's a "fine Christian boy" (that one doesn't travel well outside of our Southern States; it's a compliment as to one's character).

My real topic would be "Why do really rare, actually minted for circulation in the year in which they are dated, coins sell for so much less less than fantasy coins like the 1804 (Siam Special) Dollar and the 1913 ("I'm on the late shift at the Mint so I think I'll make some change") Liberty Nickels?"
