I read it and probably replied too...but I saw the names of many great folks, some here, some not here, some gone already. But I even miss the ones that drove me crazy. Spud, C.K., ER (many times he helped me with a medical issue!), TDN, MorganNut, Saint Dennis, Saint Guru...that's not inclusive or in any order...and smoe whose names I forget but icons I recall...Ahhh. Time :-)
in 2004 i was a research scientist in biotechnology, since then I've been called Senior Engineeer, bioprocess development & clinical manufacturing; Associate Director scale-up & technology transfer, and Director, manufacturing & commercial operations

I tried retirement for about 8 months but it didn't stick. Now I'm back to developing RF components for cellphones. RF MEMS this time around, which is a nice change after doing RF Power Amplifiers for 20 years...Ray

Question wasn't directed to me but I met him while I was a civilian nuc inspector at Charleston Naval Shipyard. He angrily came aboard ship (with my boss and my boss's boss) to ask me why I had put a hold on reactor plant testing on one of the navy's newly converted MTS submarines. When I gave him my answer and explained that quality control had no deadlines he shook my hand and said "keep up the good work."

I authenticate, grade, price, write about, consult, buy, sell and steer...stuff and things! And I like it! And in my down time I do about the same in a sort of volunteer capacity and I spend some time keeping junk out of the marketplace too.
Funny you should ask! This is the reason I've been off line for awhile. Been very busy. I had just been hired on my NEW job. I now work for the Ford Motor Company. Exciting, to say the least! I'm looking to buy a brand new Mustang. -joey

How time flies.... interesting to look through this old thread and see many of my old acquaintances - some of which do not post any longer for various reasons. Since my post, I retired as V.P. and just enjoy my many hobbies now... Cheers, RickO
I am doing absolutely the same thing with some of the same clutter unmoved for years. Nothing changes in my "ideal comfortable womb like" existence and I Love that.
I work in project management in the insurance industry...sigh. In a prior version of my life I was a blackjack dealer. I also enjoy a forged, stroked, forced induction Hemi on the weekends.
Back when this thread started I used to say structural engineer/ automotive artist. Now I like to say automotive artist/ structural engineer. Art sales have fortunately been going well. I just lasted my latest on my site for $100K. Probably a little high but I am not ready to sell it yet. Richard
