I'm not sure if I ever responded to this or not........but I am a psychotherapist working for the New York State office of Mental Health in a Psychiatric Hospital
I make plastic tubing. I brought home a tube that holds approx $180.00 in quarters when full. Another thats a good fit for dimes. Don't remember how much it holds. Paul
(Old man) Look I had a lovely supper, and all I said to my wife was, “That piece of halibut was good enough for Jehovah”.
(Priest) BLASPHEMY he said it again, did you hear him?

What do you mean working 18 hours a day for a day's meal sucks?
I was a "self-employed" Computer Consultant for 7 years (a big slice involving coding and database consulting). Never made more than 5 digits But I liked it and still do my own coding on F/OSS software that I use.
Now, I am the General Manager, Chef, and Admin Ass. for a Restaurant/bar/likker-store in NW Wyoming (no man's land).....and still never made more than 5 digits

I own a medical transportation business. We provide emergency and non-emergency ambulance transportation and ambulette (wheelchair) transportation. I've owned the company since 1981.
A topic I've been mulling over since my Honey (mis)quoted me Aristotle who stated that work is where you get paid and anything else is leisure. I'm caregiver to 2 dogs, 1 parrot (not dead), 1 wolf-dog, 3 horses, 1 mule, 1 donkey, 5 acres where our house sits and 17 acres we're (read me) farming and, last but not least, a crazy psychiatrist who works full time and whose brain works overtime thinking up things I could do while he sits at a desk all day. All leisure, no pressure. At age 61 I love it!
Only she who attempts the absurd can achieve the impossible!
I retired from goodyear tire and rubber co. and also carved hobo nickels ... i was a inspector at goodyear and retired at age 51 with 30 years of service and now i carve hobo nickels 2 or 3 days a week.i,ve been a hobo nickel carver for about 11 years...
Still in school trying to start an Ebay coin selling thing. My last job though was paper delivery wich is actually how I started collecting coins because I had so much money left I took up coin collecting.
I spent 10 years in Canada as a foot specialist mostly in private practice, then I married an American moved to the US and now own a construction company for decks and renovations. Currently closing on a bar/resturant/rooming property and life keeps changing... somewhere back there between working for the hospital and going private practice I also spent a couple of years failing as a professional athlete....
There is nothing more powerful than the power of goodbye
I am a senior project manager with a mechanical contractor. Before that I was working for a consulting engineer that is in the top 50 designing HVAC systems for commercial and industrial facilities.
I am active duty Coast Guard Lieutenant with almost 19 years of service and still having fun. I work as a liaison at FEMA HQ in the National Incident Management System Integration Center. For any of you fire folks and/or responders, this is bringing ICS to all the federal government as well as state and local. Pretty neat stuff.
<< <i>Laugh? I would never laugh at the amount of money someone made for what they do. I think I would only laugh if they told me "I hate every minute of my job, but I make a lot of money!" >>
YEAH that's me ! You may start laughing. What the heck - I do - all the way to the Bank.
Currently I'm an apprentice Electrician for a DCX assembly plant in Newark, DE. We build the Dodge Durango.
Currently there is a restyle coming for the '07 model year and soon a hybrid drive-train . Hopefully gas will come way down soon so we can survive the increasingly tight market out there.
P.S. Anyone drive a hybrid Honda or Toyota out there? Is it true a new battery is going to cost you ~ $5000.00? Hope they got a really long life.

We had a great retirement system which made the decision to retire pretty easy.
Also, I get paid to put back up streetlights and traffic signals that drunk/careless drivers run over/knockdown. (It's a year round full-time job!!)
