I'm a Clinical Data Associate I (CDA I). I work on the data portion of clinical trials conducted by pharmaceutical companies. While it sounds nice, the pay it pretty sub-par. I do have a side hobby of playing poker which has helped pay for my coin and element collection. (Though I wouldn't call it another job since I don't make enough to report it to the IRS. I just make enough playing poker to not have to pay for things like gas in my car, some food and some beer). I have a B.S. in Forensic Chemistry, but thanks to that OJ bandwagon I graduated college right when the job market was horrible. It's been a few years now since I was deep into my forensics studies that I have little confidence that I can get a job in the forensics field over someone who just graduated from college with that type of degree.
I collect the elements on the periodic table, and some coins. I have a complete Roosevelt set, and am putting together a set of coins from 1880.
When you buy a new pair of pants and in the pocket you find a little piece of paper that says " Inspected by 12".. I'm the guy that inspects that piece of paper.

Thanks! It is a tough job and I tend to want to pull my hair out! So, when that happens, I come here and start reading! Gives me something else to churn my mind on, rather than pulling my hair out.
Herb, I think you also mentioned a previous occupation. I was tempted to take a photo and send it to you (before my basement floods). There's this pipe thing from the well line... that's leaking pretty steadily....

It always amazes me to hear what people do for a living and I have no idea what they are talking about.
Having said that, I'm a title examiner and 9 out of 10 have no clue what that's all about either
