Baseball - Wasted guesses on some of the silver sluggers. Oh, and also forgot McGwire's 70 homer season wasn't good enough for MVP that year. 😂
Football - Did well on this one.
Hockey - Went off the rails trying to guess the Wild 50 assist guy. Apparently they've only had 4 in their history, and I was trying to think of someone outside of the 2 recent ones. 🫠
I did the bonus today! Ever since people have been talking about how watered down the HoF has become, I've been kind of obsessed with "The Heavenly Twins". Things to remember: only one HoF pitcher has won the Silver Slugger. Very disappointed with myself for not using Torre for the Cards MVP.
Andy Pafko is card #1 in the 52 Topps set and worth a fortune in high grade since it was usually rubber banded or at the front of a shoebox getting banged around.

if you don't want to answer this publicly, trust me I get it.........but are you a Bears fan too?
galaxy27 asks GRP...
but are you a Bears fan too?
I used to be until about 1979 ish...77 Bears-Cowboys was a heart/hart-breaker...then again in 79 against the Eagles and that was it for me....
Yes the 85 season was Magical and after that just a bunch of Pish-Posh....
Yep I used to be a south-sider right near the Sky-Way bridge....
and in a few minutes my P's will be upstairs watching the Bears game and I'll be downstairs watching that red team that is playing the Bears....
I's gotta go and watch my guy...I think he's that #15 dude...what's his name? Oh yeah...Patrick
John Montgomery Ward was a great pitcher and decent offensively and must have been really fast because he stole tons of bases. Mostly played for the Providence Grays and NY Giants but had a few years with the Dodgers at the end of his career. Probably more known for his contributions to the game off the field.

thought i was on the verge of my best grid to date, but i whiffed on Atl-Den
McCutcheon was somewhere between an educated and full-blown guess. i remember the Rams, and i was hoping for the Broncos.

Just found out Al Kaline never won an MVP. 😱
I've had better days with these grids.

Nice Rams picks...
I was going over that 1975 Topps subset again and again in my mind. How else would anyone remember Jeff Burroughs?

Didn’t have time for football today.
So you're the other person who remembered Nigel Wilson! With only 5 Oakland Silver Sluggers, I'd imagine that square blew up a lot of grids.
Haha, guilty on Nigel Wilson! I remember having his rookie cards.
I never checked other the Oakland silver sluggers. Who are they all? Canseco, McGwire, Giambi… Tejada?
Henderson, Canseco, McGwire, Jason Giambi, Chavez. Tejada didn't win any until he went to Baltimore.
Ah, that’s right. Rickey I remember. I forgot about Chavez though.
anyone ever do hoops?
good ol' Darko...........drafted right behind LeBron and right ahead of Carmelo Anthony, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade

Jeff Okudah was with the Lions last year and i just watched him last weekend playing for the Falcons, but it wouldn't take

Looks like the Pat Listach fan club in here. 😂
I messed up putting Vlad in the average spot instead of 200 hits because I couldn’t think of anyone else with the hits.

Easy day. I was reading about Noodles Hahn the other day so I did double check him before making my pick.

3 thoughts upon completion of this one
1) my proudest grid moment to date
2) I'd like to personally thank the innumerable girls who rejected me for dates in the 80s and 90s
3) the ease with which I knocked this one out is very concerning and I think I officially need to get a life
