Yes, I said on another thread that the Jags were a lock to upset the Chargers. This is the last time I get my locks from @brick.

    ...
    Good call brick!

And the LA Judases CHOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Couldn't happen to a better team owner!

There have been two pro sports team owners who have moved their team from San Diego to Los Angeles; Dean Spanos and Donald Sterling. It's apropos that they share the same initials; because they are both Pariahs.

Great comeback by the Jaguars last night after being down big, I like Trevor Lawrence and was glad to see him redeem himself after throwing those picks. It's amazing the difference between Urban Meyer's Jags and this year's Jags, Doug Pederson really turned it around.

Chargers always gonna be Chargers. A game like last night is par for the course for that franchise.

SF defense had 25 different players make tackles. 49ers were rotating well into their 3 deep defense.
I think that game was even a lot more lopsided than the final score.

    Have a nice day

I have 3 dog’s winning out right in my 4 team parlay. Do I think the Ravens win? Only if Cincinnati is as flat as they were last week against Brown. The Ravens rested Dobbins for this game and Huntley is better than Brown. If the running game gets going, mixed in with some play action Baltimore might be able to shorten the game and make Cincinnati nervous in the 4th

Back atcha Joe, I don't believe in Baltimore too much but I think they can slow this game down and snipe a late win with a FG

A Baltimore win would make the road to the SB all that much sweeter, assuming all other fall as expected, with the Bills going into Arrowhead for the chance to reach the SB. Is that correct?

I think it's a toss up in the AFC between the Bills, Chiefs, and Bengals, any of those three teams can make it to the Super Bowl. In the NFC, I think the 49ers are going to the Super Bowl. I would honestly like to see the Bills win one, my dad and I watched all of those Super Bowls in the 90s, and we were always rooting for the Bills, so I would like see Buffalo win one.

    @perkdog Tampa over Dallas?

Nope, Brady will be thinking about his next team. Having watched the Bucks all season, their lethargic offense will no put any more than 14 points on the board. They might get 17 if they try to kick a field goal, but they might not try any because of an “aggressive strategy.” Dallas will fall, but it won’t be this week.

There are already rumors of the Pats and other teams sniffing around about hiring Coach Bro. He fits their MO. He's a failed HC, getting paid by another team, and could be hired for almost free to be a pseudo-OC with a title like Assistant Offensive Facilitator.

Edited to add...Coach Bro is Kingsbury

Rumor has it that BB is giving the OC job to his other son,Brian Belichick. Then by the start of training camp his daughter Amanda will be coaching Special Teams. B)B)B)

Buffalo can’t afford laspses like they had at the end of the half during games against Kansas City.

Miami was a thorn in the side of the Patrots when they were good. Now Buffalo seems to have same problems.

Josh Allen is doing his best to make the game competitive and to prove that anything can happen in the playoffs. I don't expect Miami to win but I didn't expect Jacksonville to win, either.

Was watching Bills-Dolphins and went about my day at 17-0. Turned it back on just now expecting to see something like 35-3.

When I saw the Dolphins winning I blacked out for about 10 seconds

Buffalo is clearly the better team, but this shows what turnoves can do to you.

Are you sure you are not the “kiss of death” for teams that get your support? First the little cats, now the Buffalo team which looks like the Buffalo Calves instead. Dallas is coming. Could they be the Tender Foots?

Buffalo now up by 10 points.
If they let Miami get back in it now something is really wrong.
They should dominate the 4th quarter if they’re championship caliber.

Buffalo must have gotten a pep talk on the sideline because they've really asserted their dominance in the last few minutes to pull ahead. I wonder if Miami has any more fight left??

  • DarinDarin Posts: 7,067 ✭✭✭✭✭

And back to a 3 point lead.
Bills might fool around long enough and actually lose.

That is where a lot of the Buffalo plays have come from this afternoon. If it had not been for “air coming from the anal passage,” Buffalo would have had this game salted away.

Buffalo can’t play like this and survive against Mahomes and the Chiefs.

I always get nervous about quarterbacks who run around like that. There is a reason why running backs have the shortest careers. When you get tackled repeatedly, bad things will happen eventually.

I didnt think the Fish, with Skylar Thompson at QB, had a chance today. Hats off to them for not giving in when they fell behind 17-0. Tough to beat division rival you've already played twice this season.

Home team is 3-0 so far...can the Giants break that streak vs the overrated Vikings?

    The Chargers- Jaguars game.
    The first half…….
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times…. the beginning of the end.
As the game wore on during the first half I was thinking chargers, just retain the shutout until halftime and you have a victory. So when LA started a drive deep in their own territory ahead 27-0 with some 3 minutes left in the half I thought just keep the ball long enough so the jags don’t get it back. Alas, the chargers find themselves with 3rd and 1 and instead of doing a patented galaxy QB sneak, they do a jet sweep where the guy who is supposed to get the ball rejects it because he seemingly doesn’t know he’s supposed to get it.
Result, fumble which the chargers recover but have to punt and the jags do score a TD before the half.
    The beginning of the end.

At that time all I could think was those damn fools let the jags back in it. It was still 27-7 but in that last 3 minutes of the half the momentum completely shifted to the jags.

That one seemingly innocuous play foretold a tragic tale of doom for the Chargers. Their destiny had revealed itself and they were helpless to prevent it.

  • thisistheshowthisistheshow Posts: 9,386 ✭✭✭✭✭

@darin I believe you are quite correct about what transpired just before half in today's first game. The Chargers failed to keep their foot on the neck of the Jags. Trevor Lawrence showed some emotional fortitude by not letting his first half performance KO him, but there was a moment there in the 2nd quarter where he was on the ropes and looking glassy eyes. The Chargers let him live, and they lived to regret it.

  • grote15grote15 Posts: 29,693 ✭✭✭✭✭

The Chargers ran the ball a total of 8 times in the second half. If ever there was a game to ride Ekeler, this was it. Staley is a terrible coach.

Lousy roughing the passer call for the Vikings from the zebras. Cousins had not passed the ball when he was hit.
