My weak parlay inclusive with tonight's tilt. SF ML,Baltimore ML,,Colts/ Broncos over 44. SF has lost for me 3x this year as a ML fav. See if they avoid a 4th this time.

we've reached the semis here in Texas and this is a heavyweight title fight. Duncanville is the best team in TX and ranked #3 nationally. North Crowley, who took my money last week, is ranked #9 in the nation. i am not overly confident about this one, but i'm giving NC a shot to -- at least -- keep this one close and give me my money back. lol
there's going to be sublime athleticism all over the field
Duncanville's QB was named the gatorade national player of the year..........52 TDs, 2 INTs. bullsitter may not know the name Keelon Russell now, but he will soon because he's going to be Alabama's quarterback in coming years.
Duncanville also has the top-rated WR in the country and he's going to Oregon
North Crowley has a WR with 1,721 yards and 31 TDs on the season.......Deion snatched him up
NC also has 5-star tackle & stud LB going to Texas
if this game lives up to its billing, i'll win my bet. if it mirrors last year's tilt when these two met up in the playoffs, i won't.......because Duncanville won that game by 42 points

Wizards actually put up a good fight early, until the Cavs stepped it up and won by 10. It was one of those 5% profit money lines.
Betting a million dollars on the Wizards to cover woulda been a great bet lol
Woulda, Shoulda Coulda you know the deal lol
What made the game interesting, to me anyway, is that only back on December 3rd, the Cavs blew-out the Wizards 118-87 at Washington. Now they were playing each other again at Cleveland only ten days later.
So the Wizards laid down like puppy dogs at home on December 3rd, but fought like pit bulls on the road at Cleveland. I would have thought a 3-19 team, the Wizards, would have laid down again against a 21-4 team, especially now playing in Cleveland? But not this time. Even late in the game, the Wizards were only a few buckets away from tying, before the Cavs pulled away to won by 10.
Perhaps a combination of the Wizards being hissed off about being blown out previously, and the Cavs being a bit complacent, is what caused the differential? Then again, maybe I'm trying to find some logic in handicapping NBA games, that doesn't exist? LOL
North Crowley's head coach's nuts make an elephant's look like cheese puffs. today they won the opening toss, elected to receive, drove down the field and scored a TD, went for two, missed it, tried an onside kick, got it, scored again, went for two again, missed again, tried another onside kick, didn't recover......all to start the game. most beautifully intrepid thing i've ever seen on a football field, and they did it against Goliath. basically we don't give a f who you are, we'll do anything to kill you
and they did 🤙
edit: and the team they're playing next week in Jerry World for the chip (Austin Westlake) was a 17.5-pt dog that won outright today too. this wasn't an option, but i sure wish i could have parlayed them on non-existent money lines......i might have been able to retire
Yea the casinos always reminded me of the fox throwing a party in the henhouse for the chickens. Admittedly, I played the chicken role far too many times. LOL
At least with sports there's some handicapping involved. Very interesting game on Saturday with the Chiefs and trying to handicap how Mahomes injury might play a part in the game if he starts, or how Wentz will play if he starts?
Under normal circumstances in my opinion, the Chiefs at home would be around -5 or -6 in that game.
Had a rough Saturday drunk and hitting the casino hard with my buddy, we each went after it with no cares given and we both got rinsed for 2k a piece
It was a planned trip so it was "Fun" but didn't turn out the way I hoped lol
Made a little back on NFL
Perkdog… have you ever played a casino table game called ‘I love suits’? I’ve had very good luck with it lately. You get 7 cards and want to get as many of the same suit as you can. And it helps if they’re in order as in a straight flush. Saturday I got one hand that 6/7 were hearts including 3 card straight flush. With what I was betting it was around $1100 win . Two other hands I got 4 card straight flushes which paid about $400-450 each. Like all the games fun when you’re winning… this one I seem to have really good luck.

No, I've never seen or heard of that.
Sounds fun, I like Roulette mostly, craps occasionally and poker
The table games I play here and there are 3 card poker, hold em, and Caribbean stud

If Mahomes plays hurt then shame on them, they want the first round bye is that why they would play him?
If he further hurts that ankle then they are making a big mistake because without Mahomes their chances will plummet
ever lost a bet and walked away feeling good about it? that just happened to me. one of the best 100$ donations i've ever made, because i felt very confident about OKC tonight and i wanted to unload. i consider them the best team in the NBA and they just got blasted by a team i really thought THEY would blast.
maybe Kareem came back and played for the Bucks tonight?
It was much less of a Bucks win than a OKC loss. I think at one point they were 2 of 20 from 3. I couldn’t watch past the 3rd. Everything about the Bucks irritates me the last couple years.

catastrophe averted
Unless I misconstrued your post, it sounds like you were contemplating a "significant" bet on this game, and that you saved money by only betting a much smaller amount.

Completely agree.
I think based on info which has been presented to the public, Mahomes should sit out this Saturday game.
Back in November there was a bit of discussion about distance to travel to a casino...primarily for me. It's a 6 hour R/T for me to play in Cherokee, NC. I've gone solo, but it kinda takes the fun out of the moment, even though its pastroal and kinda hilly along the way its still a drag. Got pulled over twice, but the kindness of the officer and my bronze star tag spared me the ticket.
It would be nice to have something much more than just scratch off tix to play with in GA, but the religous crowd will never allow it. The state is missing untold hundreds of thousands in income that could be used to help the population, schools, etc...not gonna happen. The Baptists are seriously entrenched here, thinking it almost vile to "gamble". Sad.
I have a few friends that are going to Cherokee next Friday, why on a Friday is crazy to me. They're craps and bj players and are a 4 hour R/T as they're a bit closer than me. The Atlanta market seems to migrate north to Cherokee on the weekends and fills the place, sometimes forcing a move to a $50 table if you want to play. I go doing the weekday, more calm and I find a 3rd base seat at a $25 table and park. I go for the moment, generally win or lose $1k and I'm gone, I don't chase losses, and am very disciplined playing a solid basic strategy game. Lots of ploppies and clueless players that throw green and black like it was nothing. It is so refreshing to play with folks who say little, play well and are disciplined. Not too often, but so nice when it happens.
BJ is 3/2 and no surrender, but I think at some point, being an Indian casino, 6/5 isn't too far off. They deal a 6 deck shoe, but wouldn't be surprised to see 8 deck move in at some point. Be thankful if you have a decent casino within a reasonable distance, for me its 165 one way. The trick to a casino visit is know the rules, play smart and be disciplined. Never take money that would impact your life. Winning is nice, but losing important coin can be devastating, I've seen some desperate players over the many years I've played...go for the fun and don't take it all too seriously.
Anyway...hope you guys have a wonderful Christmas with family and friends.

Al. I got a casino 10.minutes down the road from me and it's fun to be able to swing over there whenever, but if course you got to be disciplined,my neighbor put himself on a self imposed ban for a year be cause he was going to. much.
Hope you and your Family have a happy and safe Christmas!
So the big question for Saturday is how do ya handicap the Chiefs game with Mahomes being nicked up?
Interesting if Mahomes only plays a few downs or series, and gets pulled because the injury is bothering him too much, and then Wentz has to step in. If ya wagered on Wentz passing yards prop bets, ya likely just hit on a nice score. Of course if Mahomes plays the full game, the Wentz prop bets all go up in smoke.
But...I'm not sure how the prop bets work. If prop bets are offered on Wentz, but Wentz doesn't play in the game, are the prop bets a total loss for the bettor, or is it just a push because he never got into the game? Perhaps the books don't offer prop bets on backup quarterbacks?
Sure would be a waste of money if ya bet on Wentz, the Chiefs have the game wrapped up, then Reid puts Wentz in there, and all Wentz does is hand off the ball to kill the clock. Technically Wentz got in the game, and so ya lost on his passing yards prop bet
I live roughly 15 minutes from 5 different casinos, 25 minutes from another, and less than 90 minutes from 3 more. I specifically chose the location of the home that I purchased for this easy access, lol... and I'm also less than 20 minutes from work, with the local casinos positioned in between, so I can hit them each way coming and going to work, as well as less than 20 minutes from Kaufman Stadium and the Truman Sports Complex, which will soon have sportsbooks on site at the stadiums.
I went 25+ years without having to buy groceries or cook, unless I wanted to. Lol
2020 put an end to all of that, as almost all of the casino VIP lounges and buffets closed during COVID, never to reopen. They still have other dining options, but it just isn't the same.
The play on the Chiefs was to hammer them on the moneyline at +145 when stevek mentioned on Monday that the Chiefs were underdogs, then likewise, hammered the Texans moneyline just as hard at +162 this morning when groceryrackpack showed Mahomes getting his leg work in.
Like the SNL skit for Rock Bottom Kings goes, "There's just so many ways to win, it's almost like you can't lose!"

The best way to approach this is to stay away.
Regarding the QB prop bets Wentz would have to play at least 1 down for the prop bets to go live
If he plays 1 snap and leaves the game you lose your bet

True story, ya may find this interesting, maybe not? LOL
So I'm sitting at third base, casino is crowded. Quarter table. First time I ever seen this before or after, this one jerk keeps blowing cigarette smoke in the dealer's face. I mean about once a minute, the poor dealer is getting a face full of smoke from this idiot sitting in the middle of the table.
Well after some time of this abuse, the dealer finally says to the guy, as nicely as humanly possible, Sir would you please stop blowing smoke in my face. Well immediately, the guy stands up and shouts loudly at the dealer in a very nasty tone, Do you know who I am? He must have repeated it around five or seven times, Do you know who I am? Well it got resolved, and the guy sat down, end of story. I got a good look at the guy but I didn't know who he was and frankly couldn't care less.
Anyway, around a few years later I'm watching TV and if you've seen the movie American Hustle, based on a true story, you'll know what I'm talking about. They showed one of the guys indicted in crimes regarding the A/C casinos licensing, etc, and I'm thinking to myself that guy looks familiar. Then it hits me...that's the guy who was acting like a total jerk at the blackjack table. He was a NJ state legislator or politician of some sort in NJ. I think he wound up serving prison time. Karma.

That's quite a lot of options lol
It's sucks about the buffets, casinos usually have great buffets, Encore in Boston shit theirs down during Covid which is a shame because it was really good
my book has a line for all 3 Sat games, so i'm gonna be dropping on some teenagers tomorrow
in the meantime, there's this piece of action
and
about an hour ago i was in the baño. i looked over and using the urinal next to me was none other than Jerry himself. he mentioned that he's in a naked pickleball league and needs a partner. so i performed a very altruistic act and gave him stevek's number

Yup, I've seen a bunch of A$$holes with the smoke thing. I vividly recal playing at Beau Rivage in Biloxi...me at 3rd base just plugging along, then comes 3 -30ish lawyer type looking guys smoking big cigars, the kind they'd never smoke at home. Dealer is a middle aged Asian lady, nice and pleasant. The cigar crap is blowing all over her, maybe not intentionally, but definitely going her way. So, at some piont I call the Super over and ask him to have the 3 stooges chill with the smoke thing at the dealer. He tells them to be more respectful or see the street. They do this lame mea culpa crap and calm down...they play like clowns, lose and are gone in about 15 minutes. Dealer looks over at me and thanks me profusely for helping her.
I think I've seen just about everything on a blackjack table except for ripping cards. The drunks, the cigars, etc.
A classic comes to mind when on a $10 table, guy is betting $50 per hand, dealers has a 10 up...he has jack 3 and doubles down!!! He catches the 8, the dealer makes 20 and he now thinks he's a genius. Had to see it to believe it.
One time at Cherokee, this guy joins our table. He's complaining about losing a bunch on a $50 table, but the language is off the charts!! MF this, F that, SOB that, F'ing dealer, $hitty cards...all while a nice lady is having to endure his nonsense...well, I call the Super over. He tells the guy to knock if off or get 86'd. I say to him "geez dude don't you see we have a lady dealer here, have some respect". He just kinda grumbled and left.
I witnessed something in Cherokee that I hope nobody else has or ever will see. I sat at 3rd base (I really like 3rd base and a lady is playing to my right about mid table. She isn't playing well, like no double downs, splits are sporadic, but the kicker is she's tipping the dealer a red each deal by placing the $5 chip in front of her bet. BUT, she kisses the chip every time before putting it down. I'm talkin' full on wet lips and all !!! Can you imagine the filth on those chips??? It was so sick I had to leave the table.
Saw Michael Jordan playing solo at The Mirage in Vegas, smoking a big cigar and betting at least a 2 inch stack of purples every hand. Nobody complained about the cigar, but a lot of people just stared at him like he had just dropped in from some unknown planet...kinda funny to watch.

I realize folks from Philly, NY, NJ, in that general area have a certain type of reputation. That being said, I had visited the A/C casinos at least a couple hundred times over the years, and the incident noted was by far the worst I ever saw. Nothing else really close of any interest to report.
Not that we're angels. I think it may be that in those geographic areas, gambling is deeply ingrained in the society. For example, the vast majority of the blackjack players at the A/C casinos, knew basic strategy and took the game seriously, trying to win money. They understood gambling, and knew it was a win-lose proposition, and usually took the losses in stride, at least on the casino floor anyway. Not even much foul language, believe it or not. Maybe just a quick F word or S word on say when they sevened out with a lot of chips spread on the craps table. But nothing vulgar such as a long tirade of profanity. Nothing that I recall.
As you know, that Cherokee region is a very scenic vacation spot. Perhaps those visiting the Cherokee casino are mostly novice gamblers, don't comprehend how addictive gambling can be, wind-up blowing their vacation money, and get hissed off and can't emotionally control themselves. The visitor goes there for a combo vacation/casino experience, but ends up spending a lot more money than anticipated.
Penn State will win the game tomorrow against SMU. I realize this isn't exactly a bold call with Penn State at -8. But Franklin always wins these type of games. I'd be shocked if Penn State loses this game.
Tell ya what. If you bet your house, car, and cat on the ML, and Penn State doesn't come thru for ya. I'll send ya a $10 off coupon to buy a new cat at Pets-R-Us. Sorry, you'll have to find a rich uncle to buy ya the new house and car. LOL
my book yanked the line for the first game prematurely for some reason, so i missed out. i immediately stuck one in for game #2 in case they did that again
if the Horns finish off my parlay and Carroll covers, i'm gonna thump the final game pretty hard tonight
Comments
My weak parlay inclusive with tonight's tilt. SF ML,Baltimore ML,,Colts/ Broncos over 44. SF has lost for me 3x this year as a ML fav. See if they avoid a 4th this time.
4th time this year I bet SF as a fav with the ML. All 4 times they lost. Well at least they are consistent.
Ugly game last night, at no time did I seriously consider pressing any live prop bets action.
Cooper Kupp was like +250 to get 25 yards receiving and he ends up with 3 targets for 0.yards, so glad I didn't fall for that
we've reached the semis here in Texas and this is a heavyweight title fight.

NBA game tonight:
Cavs home 13-1
Wizards road 1-9
Cavs -17.5 Is that all? LOL
Smash it!!! 🍀🍻
Watch the Wizards smoke them lol
LOL
North Crowley's head coach's nuts make an elephant's look like cheese puffs. today they won the opening toss, elected to receive, drove down the field and scored a TD, went for two, missed it, tried an onside kick, got it, scored again, went for two again, missed again, tried another onside kick, didn't recover......all to start the game. most beautifully intrepid thing i've ever seen on a football field, and they did it against Goliath. basically we don't give a f who you are, we'll do anything to kill you
and they did 🤙
edit: and the team they're playing next week in Jerry World for the chip (Austin Westlake) was a 17.5-pt dog that won outright today too. this wasn't an option, but i sure wish i could have parlayed them on non-existent money lines......i might have been able to retire
you'll never be able to outrun a bad diet
That's some fine handicapping, picking a 14.5 point dog who wins the game.
I'm guessing that winning parlay would have paid over 50-1.
if Washington had lost that game the O/U for the number of objects i would have broken was going to be set at 15
would have been the filthiest beat of the season for me
now i all i need for that teaser is for my team to do what they do best tomorrow night -- suck it up

Had a rough Saturday drunk and hitting the casino hard with my buddy, we each went after it with no cares given and we both got rinsed for 2k a piece
It was a planned trip so it was "Fun" but didn't turn out the way I hoped lol
Made a little back on NFL
Yea the casinos always reminded me of the fox throwing a party in the henhouse for the chickens. Admittedly, I played the chicken role far too many times. LOL
At least with sports there's some handicapping involved. Very interesting game on Saturday with the Chiefs and trying to handicap how Mahomes injury might play a part in the game if he starts, or how Wentz will play if he starts?
Under normal circumstances in my opinion, the Chiefs at home would be around -5 or -6 in that game.
Now the Chiefs are +2.5
Perkdog… have you ever played a casino table game called ‘I love suits’? I’ve had very good luck with it lately. You get 7 cards and want to get as many of the same suit as you can. And it helps if they’re in order as in a straight flush. Saturday I got one hand that 6/7 were hearts including 3 card straight flush. With what I was betting it was around $1100 win . Two other hands I got 4 card straight flushes which paid about $400-450 each. Like all the games fun when you’re winning… this one I seem to have really good luck.
.
No, I've never seen or heard of that.
Sounds fun, I like Roulette mostly, craps occasionally and poker
The table games I play here and there are 3 card poker, hold em, and Caribbean stud

Keep chipping that number down brother, let's try to get it south of 4k soon!!!
Chiefs suddenly went to -3
That certainly means that Mahomes is expected to play.
If Mahomes plays hurt then shame on them, they want the first round bye is that why they would play him?
If he further hurts that ankle then they are making a big mistake because without Mahomes their chances will plummet
ever lost a bet and walked away feeling good about it? that just happened to me. one of the best 100$ donations i've ever made, because i felt very confident about OKC tonight and i wanted to unload. i consider them the best team in the NBA and they just got blasted by a team i really thought THEY would blast.
maybe Kareem came back and played for the Bucks tonight?
catastrophe averted
you'll never be able to outrun a bad diet
It was much less of a Bucks win than a OKC loss. I think at one point they were 2 of 20 from 3. I couldn’t watch past the 3rd. Everything about the Bucks irritates me the last couple years.
Unless I misconstrued your post, it sounds like you were contemplating a "significant" bet on this game, and that you saved money by only betting a much smaller amount.
Glad you made the right decision.
Completely agree.
I think based on info which has been presented to the public, Mahomes should sit out this Saturday game.
Will make it easy for myself with the 4 college playoff games this week. Parlays. Dog and over in all 4 games.
Parlay. I took the over in the Chargers game.Line was 41.5. Into the over in the Eagles game Sunday.
All the "Pros" were talking about how much they loved the under, my buddy bet $500 on Broncos to score over 20.5 points and cashed
Perkdog types:
If Mahomes plays hurt then shame on them, they want the first round bye is that why they would play him?

Best to all,
Al
Not that I know anyone that bet that... 🤔 🤫
Karma.
5 different casino in that radius?
That's quite a lot of options lol
It's sucks about the buffets, casinos usually have great buffets, Encore in Boston shit theirs down during Covid which is a shame because it was really good
i'm at Jerry World for the TX state 🏈 games
my book has a line for all 3 Sat games, so i'm gonna be dropping on some teenagers tomorrow
in the meantime, there's this piece of action
and
about an hour ago i was in the baño. i looked over and using the urinal next to me was none other than Jerry himself. he mentioned that he's in a naked pickleball league and needs a partner. so i performed a very altruistic act and gave him stevek's number

Thanks Paul, same to ya buddy.
Good luck to all on your plays this weekend. Best of the holidays to all as well.
