ANA National Money Show Report (Short) and few NEWPS

It was a beautiful sunny day in Colorado Springs at the Broadmoor Hotel today, and my first show in many, many years. Was nice to be out in public socializing again. The bourse floor looked fairly busy, but many mentioned that Thursday was absolutely jammed, and today, Friday was a little slower....I was happy to have an opportunity to reconnect with old dealer friends, share stories, and talk coins. I saw numerous 4 and 5 figure coins sold while I was at dealer's tables. Great proof Type coins were virtually non-existent, and everybody echoed the "hard to find great coins" mantra. Top notch toned Barber Halves in proof simply do not exist on the show floor....Where are they?

I did get to look closely at Tangible Assets MS-67+ 1901-s Quarter, which is spectacular, along with their complete Panama Pacific Set. Very yummy. Also sat with Joe O'Connor for a bit a perused some of the finest Bust Quarters, and Barber Halves in existence. Sarasota Numismatics, HLRC, and Coinraritiesonline.com also had some very nice inventory available, and could not have been friendlier. But, the highlight was visiting, and sharing coins with YN @FlyingAl who is so far ahead in his knowledge of US coinage that I fully expect him to be President of the ANA by the time he is 21. This Young Man is going places.

Well, I couldn't resist buying a few coins, so here's the three NEWPS I managed to wrestle out of dealers hands:

1905-s MS-67 Eliasberg/Hugon

1941-s MS-67+

1828 MS-66 Ex. Dale Friend
