Not a big dollar card but I needed it for my 1986 Fleer baseball hall of fame PSA 10 set. Population of only 9 on this Gossage. It has taken me years to get this far but I am down to two left. I need a Bruce Sutter and Jack Morris in a PSA 10.
'60 Topps heading for re-holdering soon.....If I could make a minor complaint it's the fragility of the PSA holder to crack's, scratches and splintering all over the holder at the creases..... I am hopeful new ownership finds an upgrade to the material they use for the slab.
The great Ernie Davis just came back from PSA today. Bought a pack of 1961 Nu-Cards Football at a antique mall some time ago and luckily Mr. Davis was in it. I of course was hoping for no less than a 9 but settled for a 8.5 Oh well. Love the player and card.
A nicer, cheaper Mickey I found and the best cards from the pack of 2022 Topps I found in the local toy store. A rookie cup card, a nice Yankees insert, a Braves team card with no mention of their World Series title (huh?) and Ohtani, who is the perfect choice for the face card of the set... 1966 Topps #50 Mickey Mantle

I remember wandering all around trying to find these as a kid. I built many sets of these but sold all of them to help pay for college one year. This box looks ripe for ripping one day.
A pitcher, in my mind, that is still remarkably under valued..... and No PED's. 5 Cy Youngs including 4 straight seasons in a row. 303 wins. Won the Triple crown for pitching in 2002 ~Wins, K's and ERA.
I started a few months ago picking up all the remaining base autos for the Yankee Signatures auto set and this is the first of the super short prints I've been able to get. Still missing the John Goodman and Jason Alexander.

Great card! This section of the hobby needs more attention.

Nice! This big white borders are a bear to find centered, even in a 10.
1995 NL ROY, threw 2 no-hitters, All-Star, 2x strikeout leader, paved the way for Japanese pitchers in MLB, tornado windup was like no other before him.
Back in the very early 90s, I picked up a small lot of cards and this was thrown in - didn't really care or think about it. So fast forward 2 decades, and it wound up being a "throw in" with my club sub and was really happy to get an 8! 2nd yr GOAT is all right in my book!

Hiya Chris - don't think I've ever seen a sharper Berk Ross and having Mays is a plus, plus!!!
For anyone catching this and have never heard our forum Berk Ross story from almost 2 decades ago?
New Member: "I'm looking for all PSA graded Yogi Berra cards..."
Response: "I've got a really nice PSA 5 Berk Ross."
New Member: "No thanks. I'm only interested in Yogi Berra."
I had been looking to add more 1950's cards.

Current collecting strategy: "I remember seeing him play!" . Long time pros, solid players.
Good looking Griese.
Great pickups, everyone!
Making a nice dent in my Topps era HOF pitcher set. 16/40 complete with yesterday’s arrival.
Each pitcher will represent a different year. No repeats, no rookies.
Congrats! That Luzinski action shot is awesome. I remember him hitting balls on the roof at old Comiskey Park when he was with the White Sox.
It is good to have a strategy! Still working on my next one..

Thanks, having a blast with it! The ‘53 Paige will eat up most of my budget for this, but am in no hurry.

Wow Scooby that Johnson is absolutely perfect. That is a beauty. I usually cannot tell the difference from 9-10, but that one leaves no doubt.

No recent card adds. While not a new add, dragged my old Atari 2600 Kenmark storage cabinet out. Repurposed for Card Saver storage. So, a "new" use
@PNWcollector - love 55 Bowmans!! Especially the Mantle.
Slabbed 2 of Dad's cards, for the Cubs PC.
