Awesome coins!

My most favorite Morgan I own.
An oddball "mule" from New Orleans consisting of an SLH obverse paired with a CBH-RE reverse so that there is no mintmark. I just realized that the 1840-(0) Medium Letters has the lowest known mintage (112K minted) of all New Orleans Seated Liberty halves. Even the 1852-O and 1842-O small date and letters had mintages of 144K and 203K, respectively, though undoubtedly fewer survived. The 1853-O NA with four examples known has no listed mintage.

P30...almost free of marks with nice toning. It'll be interesting to see if this gets a green sticker someday considering PCGS graded this generously.

P25...I love the reverse. The graders seemed to like this coin as well.

Very weak strike, even for N.O.

Been there a couple of times.... Spent most of the time in the French Quarter
. I did pick up an O Morgan.... To commemorate my visit and also because it had the O (for RickO) mint mark. I will have to dig that one out. Cheers, RickO
It's getting close to Mardi Gras! Order your King Cake now!

Awesome coins on here.

Am very grateful for such threads because it shows how inconsistent, sloppy and scattered I am with my own collection. Have not been maintaining a proper purchase record or database and hence ending up purchasing more of the same coin sometimes.
I have almost two full sets of the morgans - slabbed and raw in Dansco - saying "almost" because am missing a few of the 1893 and 1895 in slabs and a few other key dates like the 1889 CC,1893 S etc. in the raw. Have the entire set of Morgans from the New Orleans mint coins but for some bizarre reason, cannot find pics of it all in my external hard drive archives whereas some of them have numerous copies.
Moreover the pictures are straight from the camera memory card and hence have to sift through each and every one to find details of the coins which is laborious and time consuming.
Guess it has reached a flash point for some serious house cleaning and streamlining required from my end.
Anyways, stopping short my rant and here are some of the pics of O mint Morgans that I could find so far.

This was said to be an 1861-O half dollar before the reverse was planed off to make way for the Confederate design.

I kinda feel that no New Orleans Mint discussion is complete without mention of the Hideous Barber Reverse Strike Anomaly™️

Better.
