    Ok here is one.
This player played in two professional sports. In one he is in the HOF in one sport but better known in the other sport.
Some consider him a HOF in the second sport he is more famous for.
Any more clues is a giveaway.

    Ok another.
This two-sport player won a world title in one sport. His nickname is associated with one of the greatest
players of all time in that sport. In this other sport he also won titles and played against some of the greatest players of all time.

Since stolen bases have pretty much dried up, I'm going to just take a guess and say Whit Merrifield. I know he was amongst the league leaders every year he was here in KC, but not sure he accumulated enough to be the leader in this millennium.

I did look at one year's leaders and two names stood out. One was a league MVP and borderline HOFer. The second, which is my guess, played primarily for a division rival of the first guy. Both of these teams made the post-season in 2022.

That said, the first guy that came to mind was Billy Hamilton. He might be in the top 5.

Other than the nickname part, wouldn't Bob Hayes sort of qualify based upon that criteria?

He's in both the football and track hof so he doesn't qualify for the first question.

GB2: you are thinking right on. Bullet Bob did win a gold medal and SB (only man to do that). His nickname and I can't give, or it will be an easy google search but is associated with babe ruth.

    Would this be Cal Hubbard?
    I was guessing umpires/referees

GB2 again you are so very close. Hubbard is in two HOF's.

Byrd was a frequent defensive replacement for Ruth. However, he was a pinch runner for Ruth late in games. Hence his nickname, "Babe Ruth's legs."

As a golfer he won tournaments and qualified him for the masters. He golfed against Bobby Jones and Byron Nelson.

Yeah, this was a super toughie!!

The stolen base question was Juan Pierre. he had 614 since 2000!I dont think he was that effective though. he led the league in steals 3 times and caught stealing 7 times

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

I wonder if Reyes (my guess) was 2nd? Our very longstanding fantasy baseball league is NL only, so Pierre didn't even come to mind unfortunately.

Congrats craig44!! As best as I can determine, the answer is Pete Rose.

In 1982, at 41 years of age, Pete Rose played in every / 162 games for the Phillies.

That might be an "unbreakable" record as I can't see anyone at 42 years (or older) playing in every / 162 games in a season.

P.S. In 1997, Cal Ripken, at 36 years of age, played in every / 162 games for the Orioles and in 2012, Ichiro, at 38 years of age, played in 162 games for the Mariners and Yankees.

Question for the trivia gurus here. I was watching the Rangers vs Cubs opener last night, and in particular I was watching Ranger's rookie Wyatt Langford. So, after watching his debut I was thinking later that he had a rbi before he got his first hit. Has a player in their major league career had a rbi before their first career hit? He got his 1st career hit but later in the game after the sac fly he had in his 2nd at bat. Maybe this is more common than I think?
