I'm actually planning on taking it easy this upcoming year. Enjoy what I have, and only add something if it is important to my core interests. Enough of the impulse buys.

The colorized Purple Heart. Ofcourse 😉. That’s supposed to be funny because they moved it to the end of the year 😂
Dang they moved all the Purple Heart offerings to fall 😳
No USM material. Mainly looking for nice Mexico material. US well unless walks up at my price been there done that. Plan buy if deal is right whether show or online.
I think some interpreted the question to be "What will be your first coin purchase in 2022?" While the question is Which 2022 (dated) coin do you plan to purchase first?

Not coins, but I just made arrangements to purchase a couple of 19th century political shell pieces for the 1848 Zachary Taylor presidential campaign and a Horatio Seymour piece from the 1868 campaign.
These pieces are made by embossing words and images on two thin pieces of brass or white metal and joining them together with a bezel. Here is one for Henry Clay in high grade from his 1844 campaign. Finding them this nice is very hard. They are far more fragile than a token or coin.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
Love the first issues are all lock a sale into your CC and wait 4 months. The mint learned quickly.
The didn’t even throw a bone like the birth set or maybe an ase for those collectors.
Hopefully you guys will do well I’m watching from the sidelines 😉
2022 South Africa Silver Krugerrand, 2022 China Silver Panda 10 Yuan in MS70 First Strike, continuing #1 registry sets...2022 Peace Dollar and Morgan Dollar. We'll see if they continue that money maker until 2035 or whenever.
For US Federal a $10 Indian No Motto. 64/65 CAC. Lots of medals and Colonials on my want list, which may come first, depending. (Actually already bought a medal yesterday from the UK.)

No clue and no plan to buy anything specific at this point.

Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
Probably the baseball commemorative.
I will find out when I get to the FUN show.
I would say, but I don't want to tip anyone off to what I want. Don't want to be outbid.....
Probably this one from UK that @kiyote just posted in the small dollar thread. Below is the picture he just posted. I thought it looks cool, like the innovation rotary phone coin. After he posted it I googled it and found that it will be available on January 4th at https://www.royalmint.com/our-coins/ranges/annual-sets/2022-annual-coin-sets/annual-sets-teaser/ 🌞

I have several gold dollars lined up to view in a trade. So probably will be between 1-5 of those.

No plans to buy any 2022 coins.
I have no plans to acquire any coins at this point in time. Not seeking anything at all right now. Could be a quiet year coin wise.... Cheers, RickO

Not sure, but it has to be amazing and come with a CAC sticker.........
I’m anticipating a Clark Gruber silver octagon. Dan normally posts them around the New Year!

I'll be on the hunt at the Boeing Show and Spring ANA.
The last one I bought was in an ICG holder (I'll go slower next time).
I imaged it when I go it home and then again 6 months later.
Oy.
It's gone now.
FWIW the ANA counterfeit detection class instructor told me "Looks good to me" so I don't feel too bad about being hoodwinked on this one.

haven't really had an interest in coins for a little over 2 years, doesn't seem to be in any hurry to return.
I keep snooping around to see if I can form an interest, but it's really no more interesting to me at this point than a used sandpaper collection.
2022 Silver Eagles. Just for the bullion value.
What ever I am lucky enough to win on great collections today.

Yeah. A monster box or two, as inventory for customers.

For a 2022 dated coin, nothing from the US Mint until the "Spring", so it will likely be a Daniel Carr / Moonlight Mint piece prior to that.

I picked up the 2022 Baseball coins. But, since I will not see them (or really be billed for them) until April, something else can be first.
I will get my fishing license the first day of the new year (March 1).
