Congrats! That is a great looking card. That Mrs. is a keeper.
Thx JB...she surprised me with her eye appeal for cards.
She actually picked this out herself? Wow, impressive!

Yep! She knows that I like 8.5s and, I have pointed out card qualities like centering, tilt, corners, and color. I have to admit I was impressed. She has collected a few nice pieces of art...so she has a good eye. She said that she noticed that I was looking at it and comparing it to recent PSA-9s.
Jeepers creepers that is nice. Awesome of your wife to do that. Does she have a sister or possibly a hot cousin/niece of age ?? LOL.
Thx Mickey71!
Incredible back centering also!!
I agree - 8.5’s are my favorite grade. Good balance between super high end, and don’t have to call a divorce lawyer like you would with a PSA 9. That card is a stunner for sure.
Am also a big fan of 8.5s. Great looking card.
best i could do on my budget at the moment.
Thx Keith, Brad and azvike!
Does she have a sister?
Congratz on retirement Monte!! Great card too!!!
Thx Chris!
The first one, I think is proof that after all these years I have finally come to terms with what he did and forgiven him; he was arguable the New York Giant for all but his last season in the NFL where things took an odd turn to say the least. What was an almost Cinderella story ended in heartbreak, as he seemingly lost his slipper on the eve of his greatest season and then retired bitter, missing out on a championship, which may have needed to happen for the guy pictured on the second card to take the next step both on the field and in the locker room...
...which brings me to card number two. All I can really say is I think this card had eluded me too long and I'm glad I have finally added it to the PC. It's hard for me to believe that at the end of this season, all three kids pictured will be retired; I remember the talk going in and especially will always remember the fact that the Giants drafted one, then traded for one and allegedly had plans to take the third if that trade had not been worked out. And amazingly enough, it seems any would have been a fine choice as there's a pretty good chance that all three pictured on the card will end up in Canton.
To me, anyway? That makes this a rather incredible card.

75 Rack with Ryan and Carlton bringing the heat on top....
Congrats, Monte! What a gift!
This next item had to be scanned in the plastic holder so that it didn't scratch the hell out of my scanner glass. It's a pre-manufactured (still flat) 1977 RC Cola can.
Next, I went to the Granite State Baseball dinner about 2 weeks ago and got a bunch of cards signed. The only ones I'm keeping (Rose, Tiant) or possibly keeping (Carbo) are below. If any veteran submitters are willing to take a stab at card grades for the Rose and Carbo, I'd really appreciate it.

@mintonlypls that Mantle is as the French say c’est incredible!
@DanBessette I have always loved the 78 Rose. Great card to get signed. Now if we can only get our stuff back we sent a year ago.
As far as my pickup. I was scanning new uploads to Myslabs and came upon this for $100. I am assuming the seller discounted it because it was mislabeled. (Should day mini). I did not care just hit the BIN to get for $101 shipped
Thx, both DBesse27 and rexvos!!
Picked this up last weekend at a local card shop.

Agree...I'd never seen one until I stumbled upon this one - and admittedly not familiar with Sportkings products. I typically do not collect patch cards, but thought this would make a nice addition to my Payton collection.

Beauties!
Found this card last month in a box. I didn’t even know I had it. Luckily when I pulled it from a pack in 2018 I was smart enough to penny sleeve and top load it. Just got I back from PSA Friday.
tough cards to gem. congrats on the sub.
anyways here is my most recent pickup....
2012 panini innovation stained glass purple dwyane wade. first year of the stained glass for panini, purple has a purported double digit print run and tough to come across. I believe the stained glass cards in general were case hits, purples were way harder to get.
also fresh back from PSA is the 2017 Select Prizm wade I posted in October. they had to reholder due to debris in the holder. quick and efficient CRC service as usual. scan courtesy of PSA....

Will be posting the Sierras Rookies soon..(not from Panama)

Here's a few picked up today, and yes that was $5 for Ernie Banks.
Huge pickup for my 1979 Staubach collection, literally and figuratively. Uncut sheet A, which has not only Roger, but Payton, Campbell and Lofton rookies among others. This means that basically, the only possible way to have a 79 Staubach that I'm missing is showing on the back of a wax pack.
Thank you, @LarkinCollector

That is a gorgeous card. The color and clarity are stunning. Congrats on that pick-up.
The 1979 Football set is simply gorgeous. The ALL PRO cards look beautiful. Roger's 77-79 cards are awesome. I think 77 and 79 are 2 of the nicest cards in the entire hobby....and I'm a 70's Steelers fan. LOL.
And that’s why I have monster boxes full of modern that we have ripped! Awesome and congrats!
John

@Chicago1976 Really nice card of an under appreciated player. Nice color and centering. Always tough on this set.
Very thankful to have acquired this Pujols.
