My Uncle Jerry, who was a die hard Yankees fan, recently passed away. My wife, who usually rolls her eyes at my card purchases, told me I should get a Yankee card in his memory. We all have that family member that would give you the shirt off their back, and he was that guy that would do anything for you. I got into card collecting, because all the kids in the neighborhood were collecting, but the reason I appreciated the history of baseball and vintage cards was because of him. As a Braves fan, I wish he could watched the series with me, but I know he shared in my excitement, and had the beat seat in the house.
Nimoy must have loved those episodes when Spock got to act out of character. Beautiful card!
He's so much fun in that episode, running around and climbing trees with Jill Ireland. "Oh, Jim...we're going to have to get you straightened out!"
One of my fav scenes is when Spock sees that Kirk is not dead, and he gets this big stupid grin on his face and yells "JIM!!!" Spock was soooooooo HAPPY!!! hahahaha!
Great cards, all! I finally got this card in from 4SC this week. I've always wanted this in a PSA 10 since I was a kid but really cannot afford the 10 pricing (and they are sooo rare). So a 9 will have to do!

I am right with you. That is a great card. I have has several raw. No 10 candidates. I do have an unopened 92 Fleer magazine box ( only packs that had Rookie Sensations) but I doubt I ever rip it
Several years ago I set out to get the Top 150 RC cards from the 70s,80s and 90s in Baseball,Football,Basketball and Hockey in PSA 8,9 and 10. This is #111 of that journey.
How much did it sale for is one of the funniest and most ignorant things I've ever heard.
I have owned several copies of this one and coincidentally picked up a copy of it's scarcer variation last month; I figure they're worth posting together, for ID purposes. The newer of the two is in impeccabe shape; the surface of these pick up the slightest of dings and this one is glass like with an anal rententive level of clean back. The other one has picked up a few surface dings that aren't really visible in a scan but show up immmediately when tilted in the light and it also has some writing on it that is visible through to the back...
1964-66 Rawlings Premium Photos - No Undershirt (this month)
...but never fear; it's the good kind of writing since it's JSA approved, it came via Robert Edwards and it looks completely legitimate and, if I may, rather spectacular. I am hoping they each do well (5 EX or better, 3 VG /10 sig, respectively) when I send them in.
Curious about the rare, mysterious and beautiful 1951 Wheaties Premium Photos?
This actually arrived last month, but just getting around to sharing. Love me a good jersey numbered patch card:
Main collecting focus is Patrick Roy playing days 85/86-02/03, expect 1/1, National/All-Star stamped cards.PC Completion: 2,548/2,952; 86.31% My Patrick Roy PC Website:https://proy33collector.weebly.com
With just a little over 500 total cards graded to date,I thought I better pick this up now for my Hall of Fame Players-Post War Rookies just in case Papi gets the call this year.

This was my father’s favorite basketball player. I’m trying to collect the rookie cards of his favorite player from the 4 major sports. The other 3 will be much tougher (Jim Brown, Willie Mays, and Bobby Orr) but it’s a start.
Roughly 3 years ago I sold off 95% of my collection to get married and buy a house. I'm now starting to piece that collection together again, with my Patrick Roy PC over 70% completion and cards needed getting tougher to come by. Here's the first group of football pickups this week:
I also managed to add another /10 Patrick Roy card into my PC:

Picked up the most recent (issued to this point) Rookie Cup catcher auto. This now gets me back to complete for the catchers since 1960. Still missing about 20 total Rookie Cup autos.
Don Mattingly, Yogi Berra, Thurman Munson, Brian McCann and Topps Rookie Cup autograph collector www.questfortherookiecup.com
Yes, to an extent. I had amassed a decent amount of lower-mid grade vintage baseball prior to that, but I think I am going to focus less on that again, at least for a little while. I do miss my '55 and '56 Mantles, but they may be out of my comfort range now.

I had a couple of those. I wonder if I still have one or if they all broke and got tossed. If one survived and is functional, there is a good chance I still have it.
I collect Steve Garvey, Dodgers and signed cards. Collector since 1978.

That episode had lots of great lines. “You belong in the circus Spock….right next to the dog-faced boy!”
Just got this in today. This one is a blazer. Thanks, Rexvos…!!!

I saw this at Goodwill and had to pick it up.
a flawless surface. Anyone who has seen these in hand knows how easily the mirror surface can be scuffed up after all these years.

1963s are tough in high grade because of the colored nameplate. Congrats on a great pickup!
