I ordered the 21EFN-4-pc set > received the first "order received" email at 12:01; BUT no confirmation email....the Mint usually takes hours to sent those out....
"Order placed on 7/29/21 has been confirmed" email received at 1:34 pm - Very surprised how fast this time
Was able to order 1/10th in about or under 1 minute after going on sale. USMint email order received @ 9:01 PDT and confirmed email at 934 PDT. It's a bit expensive and then they replaced with cheaper OGP but I have to have one due to I've been collecting the 1/10oz ever since they came out.
Xxxxxxx Fraud: We declined $3419.95 with card ending xxxxx at US MINT COIN SALES-DR. Was this you? Reply YES or NO. If yes, you will not be charged unless you try again. If no, we will close your current card and send you a new one. Msg & data rates may apply.

I should had known. 😤
Ouch. I hate when they do that. At least let you respond (give it a day or so??!) before they cancel the sale.
I got a credit card notification for a set but no confirmation and it's not listed on the order page....I assume they will back out the charge......
My orders are all in different states.
I had one order placed at 12:05 and confirmed at 1:30
I had one order placed and confirmed at 3:35
I had one order with notification at 12:03 but no confirmation as of 3:35
I had one order that pinged my card but no notification or confirmation
And I have one order with no ping of the card, no notification and no confirmation. So, it's anyone's guess as to what I'm actually getting. I usually just wait and see what shows up at the house. Lol

I hope that you are correct, because I interpret the communication differently.
My read:
~ the cc already declined the charge (i.e., "We declined $3419.95 with card ending xxxxx at US MINT COIN SALES-DR");
~ if the charge was valid, the cc wants the customer to re-purchase the item (i.e., "you will not be charged unless you try again").
I have been 'burned' by a similar issue in the past. Now, I call the cc and pre-authorize any Mint purchases >$1,000 before ordering.

edited for a typo.
He's not saying that it means that. He's saying that they should give you time to respond before they refuse the charge.

I was not being sarcastic either, just poorly worded perhaps. Better said would be "Ouch. I hate when they do that. They should at least let you respond (give it a day or so??!) before they cancel the sale.
Life is stressful enough without putting up with mint ordering games. I am glad I like “old gold” which is much more available.
Overpriced and I don’t need it anyway … and it’s “unavailable” Good that takes care of any “senior moments” when I might be tempted to try to place an order.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
backorder means they do not have the full 10,000 coins ready today.
barring credit card issues or other unknown catastrophes, you will get the 1/10th ounce eventually... the date showing in the shopping cart say ship date 11/3

Confirmed 1:09
if you made multiple orders on the same account today, do you see each order? I'm missing a couple....
Don't quote me on that.

ANGST!
10,000 + backorder - kiss of death for the backordered ones
Ordered the 4 coin set, and it took four tries with the set in my bag each retry.
I was on a Dell laptop at my church using their public WiFi.....normally a disaster with the Mint.
order #USM09883xxx......approx. 12:04est.
Good luck to all those who wanted these coins.
No email confirmation as of 2:04pm est.

I have been out of message board too long. What does angst stand for?
No confirmation and no ping.

I'm broke and will have to eat cans of peas but at least I have 3/4 of an oz. of proof Mint gold![:) :)](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)

So I got a confirmation, but the site says back order, which is it

You have one expensive taste. Can of peas with gold flakes on top?😆
Both. Confirmation of your purchase which is on backorder.
He's not saying that it means that. He's saying that they should give you time to respond before they refuse the charge.
My mistake. I 'missed' that the comment was sarcastic.
Thanks for setting me straight. I appreciate it.

Lol I know what it means. I just thought it was a new short for us mint ordering process issues since everyone was posting it. Silly me. Lol
Another Numismatic Gold Sale Trouble
it could have been the name for the ordering system!
however, now it seems they have greatly reduced the errors and angst!
prediction?
1/10th ounce will have no HHL tomorrow and still be available on backorder in the morning
Another prediction.
If you don’t mind getting up early, with some of these other Angsters, you can likely get most of what you want.
I'll sleep in.
angst on, wayne
angst on, garth

Just got one confirmation. Waiting on another. 1/10 oz
Do you think I will still get the coin
backorder means they do not have the full 10,000 coins ready today.

"Eventually" is generally the best answer with the US Mint.....
I hear you, usually I have no issues, but it has no date next to the 1/2 ounce coin, I did get the 1/10 ok. I will just hope for the best
Yes. In October or November.
Maybe 😈
🎶 shout shout, let it all out 🎶
Just got second confirmation and ping. 1/10 oz
I was only able to get the 1/10 oz but I have a confirmed order and a ping on my CC Card.
Better than nothing,,,,,, shut out on the rest of them.
try in the a.m.
Ouch
Did anyone else get the email from a certain coin company to purchase our type2 gold?
not specific
who?
All this drama for a bullion coin or two.
My advice is to dump the mint. A bunch of goobs that don't care about collectors at all.

Well done. Belittling the collecting interests of everyone in only 3 sentences.
Whoa! Just got a tracking number for my order, and another earlier today for the proof ASE.
