OK, some of the topics are getting a little too heavy. Let's have some fun. Can you come up with a Mt Rushmore from your collection?
Here is mine, 1970's FB Greats Mt Rushmore

My Mount Rushmore has 5 heads....
Always looking for 6th, and beyond
If anybody would care to help me carve out number 6 - I would love to acquire and slide a 1955 Bowman Mantle (8) and/or a 1957 Topps Mantle (8) into the mix ....

Don't forget to add why it's your Mt Rushmore.
I love the 1956 Mantle. I have one in a 4 in my Mantle pile.
Isn't it obvious?
Classic, Enduring, Eye Catching and most assuredly Vintage

I will go with these.
I collect hall of fame rookie cards, https://www.instagram.com/stwainfan/
I'm going to do a vintage and a modern.
I have a Rice Beckett 9, but thought I'd stick with all PSA for visual sake.
And my basketball Rushmore...
I almost exclusively collect Patrick Roy, and these are definitely the Rushmore cards of my PC:
Main collecting focus is Patrick Roy playing days 85/86-02/03, expect 1/1, National/All-Star stamped cards.PC Completion: 2,548/2,952; 86.31% My Patrick Roy PC Website:https://proy33collector.weebly.com
What a great idea for a thread. I needed something different to read other than about market speculation.
Here is my modest Mt. Rushmore
Sitting in the #1 spot would have to be my 1962 Topps Wax Pack PSA7. After purchasing this "unknown" series wax pack, I was able to get help from a member of the Vintage Wax and Packs Facebook group to determine that this pack was a 3rd series wax pack. The 3rd series contains the great Mickey Mantle. I will probably never send it back in for reholdering due to fear about gum damage during transit. However, the day that he messaged me and told me the good news, I was on cloud nine. I've always wanted a pack from a Mantle series, and it was great to know that I had one all along.
Sitting in the #2 spot is my 1933 Goudey Babe Ruth graded PSA1. For as long as I could remember, this card has always been iconic to me. It seemed like every National I attended, I would see the Goudey Ruth at tables and just wonder what it would be like to own one. A few years ago, a PSA1 with, in my opinion, tremendous eye appeal appeared up for auction. When I saw it, I knew that I had to have it. Luckily, my snipe barely held up in the end.
The #3 spot is housed by another wax pack, my 1971 Topps PSA 8, 3rd series (Garvey RC series). One of my most fondest memories of growing up was seeing all the 1971 cards that my dad collected. He probably opened 20-30 boxes as a teenager and still had many of them in the mid 1980s. I recall seeing about 30 Steve Garvey rookies. Obviously, the 1971 wax pack is the most difficult to obtain of the decade. I had completed an entire 1970's wax pack run, and the last remaining pack was the 1971. I snagged this one as a buy it now at a reasonable price about 3 years ago.
The #4 spot is my Ryne Sandberg PSA 10 Topps Rookie Card. Ryno was my favorite baseball player growing up and until just recently, I never had a PSA 10 copy of his rookie card. I've probably had 10-15 raw cards over my lifetime and one PSA9. The 1983 Topps card designs is one of my favorites, and this is one of the few PSA10's in my collection.
Here are my Mt. Rushmores for football, baseball, and basketball.
Are raw cards allowed? Because my best football card was a raw purchase and is currently sitting at SGC.

Wow this makes me regret selling all my collectibles 25 years ago upon college graduation. I actually had a walk-in closet that you couldn't walk-in anymore. I had so many of those same cards
Gonna do a football and baseball one, football first. In narrowing them down, I favored variety. Most of my main projects, either completed or in progress, are represented.
Football. Includes 1 card of each of the 3 players whom I collect:
Baseball. Didn't want this one to be all Yaz. Includes some Venezuelan love and the SP that completed my 59F Ted set:

I agree with these 4.....and the JB rookie is UNBELIEVABLY under-valued....

It's getting up there. I have a PSA 3 and 8 months ago, it was a $300 card. Now it's a $2,000 card.
Prize Captive is my favorite !!!

^^ we need a "WOW!" button to click on for posts like that one. Gave it a "like" in the meantime. Nice, LGC!
That 54 Topps Howe is a piece of art work. Awesome card.
Love your Rose Venz. Beautiful card.
How about a Topps Donnie Baseball edition?

4 of the 25 oranges:
tomorrow we'll carve out something else...
Here are my four.
That’s gotta be the nicest 1 I have ever seen. What pushed it down to that grade?
So tough to really nail down just four, but here is an AFL attempt...
An Alworth-specific attempt

JESUS, TODD!
I’m sure you posted that Namath before but my goodness!
It feels like the first time.

Lol, thanks Tim. Great Foreigner reference, BTW.
I am so flakey when it comes to these kinds of threads, my tastes change regularly. I might have posted the Namath at some point, but I don't recall for sure.
There are several other cards I like as much, if not more, that could be swapped in also. I guess I just don't have clear cut favorites.
Great posts. I'm glad that everyone is enjoying this. I need to do a 4-sport post to keep up with UFFDAH
Paper loss on the back, no doubt.
Correct. Thanks for the kind words guys. I love that Rose card too.

have to concur on that namath! color and centering are amazing. it's oversized, and one of the few mistakes ive made by not nailing it down. think this was the swift kick in the stones to get going! so thank you!?!?!
eta: not gonna lie. im nervous to even look at the price tags. it's prolly been 3 years since my last active search...
