These arrived today. Gaming tokens made for the US market for gaming/gambling during the 1850’s. Thought to be made in Germany as the details are above average.
Argentina 10D brass raw, and Argentina 10D bronze NGC MS64
The middle one I’ve had for some time now it’s also bronze NGC MS63.
The brass and bronze are said to be R7.
I’m going to post these in the Spiel token thread soon so all will be in the same place for reference.

A week or so ago I posted the 2 1/2D, now to find the $5D……

1895 Grover Cat W.P. Buchanan Store Card - Silvered, Plain Edge - Rulau-Phi B7A - NGC MS62 POP 0/1/0
A new addition to my Grover Cat collection.
Silvered is unlisted in the 2004 Rulau reference.
It kind of reminds me of a tabby cat.
I've never heard of the Grover Cat, but these are nice tokens. I like them.
About 1875 the two brothers from Essen opened in what is now referred to as Chelsea; or the flower district in New York's lower West side. In the 1870's New York was small and village-like. In the area which is now 6th Avenue between 24th and 28th streets the Martinkas opened their shop. Seven or eight employees gleefully made the tricks of the trade under the cherrful, but stern Mrs. Martinka. All customers were treated as customers; no tommy-nonsense was tolerated in this house of Hocus Pocus. Alexander Heimberger, Alexander Herrmann, W.E. Robinson (later to be the world famous Chung Ling Soo), Sarem Ellison, and others were alowed free access to the workshop and back rooms.
The Martinka Bros. store even had a Palace of Mystery which was a little less grand than the title advertised; a small stage in the back became the testing ground for the wonders produced, and a continuing platform for party entertainment. The Martinkas realized the fraternal family of magicians, though, the world's first magic society, The Society of American Magicians, would not come into being until 1902 when several magicians in the back rooms of Martinka's wrote the Charter and By Laws.
All I need is the orange pcgs. Got the lime goodness. 35th Now the silver 35 th.
Got them green, blue, black.
Now for the orange…here kitty kitty kitty 🙀
Tell me, how in the world did I NOT know about this coin?
.
.
I mean, the design is bewitching! This beats anything the US Mint has produced in the last decade, IMHO.
It's graded NGC PF69 ULTRA CAMEO and just don't know HOW I haven't seen this commemorative before.
Any scratches you see are clearly on the plastic holder, which allowed me to get it at a really good price. I'mma going to try to polish the plastic to try to mitigate them, but worse comes to worse, I'll crack it out and put it into one of my "self-slabs."
I can see this purchase really destroying my reputation as "that exonumia guy" . . . . .
I mean, it is A COIN after all . . . . What's the world coming to when Zoid starts buying COINS . . . . . . .
I just might have one or two others on their way to me after I found this one and started doing some research. Stay tuned . . . . .

I know….it’s crazy how we miss the good ones sometimes.I used to have these in proof and unc holders.
But sold them. Bought a few raw and still waiting for them to tone
It’s coming along but ooooooo soooooo slowly….lol
I just saw this one the other day. It’s an Ike and must have it. Can’t believe I never saw this one.
Now it will take forever till I get to see any color on these.
This doesn’t have a bad looking side to it……like the mint silver you posted.

Steph,
That one has almost a "Heraldic Art" look to it, especially the reverse. Robert McNamara wouldn't happen to have been the engraver of that one, would he?
Yet another to keep my eyes peeled for . . . . . .
There was quite a bit of discussion about the reverse with the majority not liking it. Some talk about it on the 2021 reverse and how much it was hoped to be much nicer.
I don’t have a problem with it and the obverse looks good. Thanks

As for me, it was a good day today. I pushed "published" on Amazon for a horror and weird fiction, etc. anthology I've been editing for a few months now, and I received my 2021 reverse proof set in the mail today. I guess all of that refreshing and restarting on the U.S. Mint website not too long ago ended up being worth it.
A few more San Fransico Coin club medals. The silver is mintages are low +- 100
Forget what the brass is but is so heavy and gold looking, it looks gold…lol
