It's not often I pick up a slabbed Merc (usually focus on nice raw gems for my Dansco) but this one really caught my eye in the old soap bar holder. For the price I just couldn't pass it up. My super quick desk pics really don't capture the luster and nice soft purple toning as much as they show in hand.
I bought this one some time back just to see what the new CAC holders were like in hand. The coin is accurately graded and the new CAC holder is unremarkable and rather mundane IMO. I think the newest generation PCGS holder is still at the top of the tree as far as the overall feeling in the hand, dimensions, clarity, attractiveness, color scheme, scratch resistance, ease of storage, etc.

I've not seen this slab before.
The seller didn't offer a reverse shot and I purchased this just curious enough to see if there is any identifying info on it.

I purchased this over the weekend. There are only 4 examples graded in Mint State and this is the second highest graded coin. Very happy to add this to my registry set.

Just got this 1922 Peace Dollar Soft Pack in the mail today. I may have over paid for it at $94 shipped, but I liked it and may very well send it to be graded.

2023 Peace & 2023 Morgan dollars Mint State & Proof PCGS 70's
Really nice dollars. You need the RP set to complete the 2023 issues.

.
Thank you for looking and comments.
BTW I do have them, and will be sending them to our host soon.
To me, the design of both of these dollars are testaments to great (American) coin art.
Easy to look at, and attractive even if you're not a coin collector.
Also, the modern versions are so well executed. The U. S. Mint did a fine job on these.

Nice, that is one of the books that inspired my numismatic library.
It kept me from buying an altered 1950-D nickel as a youngster.

I was happy to win this one recently. It seems that the majority of '25 Buffaloes have a matte finish, but this MS65 has beautiful satiny surfaces.
Just today for these two:

Don't know buffaloes but that reverse just looks (WOW)
I purchased this this morning at the coin show sponsored by the Denver Coin Club.

It's been about 3 1/2 years since I've added an Indian head cent to my collection, but this one spoke to me:
Appears the Shanghai mint's own slab.
A couple more for my circulated Type Sets, the $10 has one of those green CAC stickers too 🌞
