A modest G Details raw bust dollar. I had to get it because it appears to be a later state than those documented. The denticle cud at the bottom of the reverse (looks like a rim hit, but is not) is in the common states. A long break from the rim by the I/AMERICA to the banner is not uncommon for the variety. But the cud advancement on it
I just picked this 103 variety 1840 o rev of 39 closed bud mm is 0.9 mm the rest of the series the mm is 0.08 mm. This is an R~6 and so rare it comands a premium of 100/200% over retail for the condition of the specimen. There's also. An 103 a which has two cuds on the rev between 8k-10k. This even rarer asigned as an R~7
Here's a new bust h10c in AU58. Not a CAC-worthy example (secondary toning, scratchy right obverse field), but it's a lustrous example with a decent strike that looks nice in-hand as a type coin. The actual color is somewhere in between the two sets of photos.

When I recently posted my 1893-S Morgan, you (self-deprecatingly) said that you were just starting your Morgan collection. But every Morgan dollar you post is fabulous--keep it up!

I am not even half way. and the missing half are the "BIGGIES". Your 1893-S at the top of that list.

Nice 1867, V-1?
Upon further review, I agree with the V-1 classification.
It's really busy on both sides. Sometime I'm going to need to look at these surfaces under higher mag than I can hold with a lens.
I have a small microscope that hooks up to my iphone, I need to practice with that and see what I can see.
1875 S-12 PCGS 65RB. It just may be the finest known. No pop #’s as it’s not a designated FS variety. But, coolness factor? There’s a broken piece of an”8” digit below the “5” in the date. Plus, there’s a piece of a “1” on the rim edge to the left.
I have a spurt going in early 2024 to fill in graded coins from the proof sets issued 1953 to 1964 and the SMS sets from 1965-1967. Here is one from 1961. 1953-1954 are mainly PF67 which I have had for some time, the rest mostly PF68 with the SMS being MS67.

Just
got a 1884-O Morgan but with some spectacular toning. What you think it will grade? MS62-63?

A GSA coin. I thought this one could go 65+ or 66 on a good day but no dice.

Just won this 1884-CC MS63 DMPL in old PCGS holder. Is it worth to get the new holder and true view?

Paradime purchase. Thanks @justindan
And the big purchase of the week:
—
Went to my LCS today.
Picked up this “cull” silver dollar and .75 cents of junk silver.
I'm working on a 12 coin set. Here is the latest.
Tonedeaf is a nickname given to me in reference to my guitar playing ability.
Not the most attractive example but it is the more difficult to get die pairing of the two known
That is a fun set to do!
Nice coin. 👍

@brianc1959 The Bust Halves are fantastic looking. 1810 Strike on the Stars I like a lot.
Picked this up about 4 hours ago. 1939 PF67 Walker.
@willy Thanks! I feel fortunate to have won the auction on the 1810 in particular.
My activity has been sharply curtailed in recent years, a few recent changes coming in, offset by many things going out.
Why does the editor change the order of the photos, as compared to the order in which they were chosen?
LanLord, cool half dime!

One more on the hit parade, this time a 1955 Proof Half Dollar, completing a matched set of PF 68 coins of that date.

In my fantasies, my "sharply curtailed" activity includes that haul in a whole year, much less all at once!
Beautiful coins!

I’m not entirely sure, but it’s got a lot of character.
Looks like a DMPL H10C ⭐️
Nice... first year gold from the New Orleans mint, and the only year with the obverse mint mark.
Is it coin turn or Medal turn ?
It's all about what the people want...

Oh and this. Thought it was raw based on pictures so you can imagine my surprise when it shows up in an old PCI G4 holder!
