I have close ups with the scope. They arent loading/Uploading... Hmm?! I wonder why? They are PNG files. Never had a problem with loading before.
There are a lot of settings to chose from based on what program you're saving the png file with...color profiles like RGB and RGBA, transparency (alpha channels), custom palettes... they all won't display in standard browsers. You may have chosen a different png profile or save setting by accident.
I spend all my time looking for perfect specimens while you spend yours looking for messed up examples.

fwiw, except the biggest and rarest, i can attest to some truth in this. i really don't look for them but i do recall seeing ALL the new P & D coins in essentially all denoms not too long after they come out but i have yet to find just roll after roll of any specific one. they are always scattered in my experience though my roll searching is just as sporadic.
well crapola. i cannot find/remember where we were discussing die scraping. perhaps another thread so i'll just dump the image here. some coins i didn't toss yet.

that is what a lot of people (including myself) are calling a lot of scrapes like this on many type coins but some of the more die-centric astute numismatists have told me a few times this is not possible and it has to be some other explanation. i usually just stick with feeder finger so as not to have to go into song each time, ya know.
the more i look at it the more it looks like a genuine struck-through example? if so, would be a VERY neat one. can't tell if the top of the nose is polished (a common area) or if it is part of the potential struck-through.

That would be cool. It came from a souvenir set and I believe the other one looks very close to the same but was lacking in color. I'll post it later after work... work shhhhhh
what is this X pattern everyone (me) keeps talking about? well well well...
i was imaging some of the "nicer" quarter finds of mine and it figures, i do a whole bunch back-to-back and the entire session was fouled up by either some schmutz on the lens or a shaky hand etc. i was really quite perturbed so much so i haven't even thought of trying again since. lol
i concede i have not really came close (to me) to finding the "sweet spot(s)) for properly imaging these modern struck-throughs. if i still had that d90...
i tried altering the image, severely, in post-prossessing so that the struck-through part would pop apart from the non but even that doesn't work too well when the original image(s) aren't too good to begin with.
it is a brutal irony, the better the image, the less need for post-processing but post-processing can help make an image better but in order the do the latter, the former really needs to be in place. so many catch-22s in life. seesh

Look away! Look away from the light. I actually just point mine away.
Okay, so here is the other 82p from the mint pack. I vote no to struck-thru although I may have them professionally imaged just for the coolness factor. Oddly, they were in the pack, marked as Type I and II. Well, I don't see the difference between the two and in fact (close up included) they both have the same shooting star above the D in United we Stand.

ya, now that i see the "better" images, looking at the rest of the coin, it is most likely part of the die failure. pretty neat effect tho. i've seen some pretty extreme stuff on VLDS jeffies but this is really near or at the top!
probably worth of their own thread about die deterioation or something.

New set arrived today...No coveted 67 but maybe a 6+.
i THINK i mentioned it before but it would require quite a bit more work on your part but it would be some semi-short term pain for some possible much better long-term gain.
if you started increasing your buying (if you can as i know you already buy a good deal) and made it so you could hit the bulk submission qty, even if you had to sub through someone else for the diversity privelage (i have some in mind) then you would significantly bring down your per-coin cost to submit and increase your back-end profits. now unless you hit your desired mark(s), the coins en bulk would still bring a nice nice profit overall but again, would require some rather large readjustment to your current methods. the caveat is, i THINK you can split the type you submit into 3 or 4 groups so you wouldn't need 100 of any one coin. (there was an ngc option where you could diversify the coins much more but no one coin could be over 2 or 300, or something like that but made it MUCH easier to hit the 100 coin mark) i came very close once but the dealer i was subbing through was seriously draggin their feet so after a couple/few weeks, i just picked up the coins, quite disappointed though as the service is VERRRRY slow and that is the balance for the low cost)
of course, then you have the challenge of moving a ton of slabs but there is a solution for that as well. on the form, you don't have to put 100 lines worth of coin info, if you have a lot of the same date/mm. you can put 20 or 15, 10 etc in the qty slot for the same pcgs coin numbers. fwiw
you would need to branch out a bit and perhaps start picking up some decent but not monster toners, varieties (unattriubted) etc.

Yes I remember those good pointers and at some point that may come in to play. And even with my smallish orders of 20 to 30 but most of those are still just exploration/tuition pieces at this point.
Besides small ticket items seem to be a pain in the blank to sell in this business and it seems like those will be leaving in bulk. For me it’s still just a hobby and when I do hit that 67 I’m not sure if I could even sell it :-)
Came home with another box of quarters and a bunch of other rolls, but only 4 customer rolls.
Went through the customer rolls first...a fun few minutes
