I got one, but accidentally did standard (slow) shipping as I was just trying to plow through the transaction. No biggie, I guess.

If you had taken the time to switch shipping it would have locked up at least three more times trying to change it.

WOW!! Yet, 29,500 managed to get one. Imagine how many were trying. Imagine how many actual collectors were shut out.

Had to put mine in 4 times. Finally got to the confirm order after 20 min. and at least 30 refresh messages. Then...

"Invalid item in bag, please remove." Take a guess what item I couldn't get. :(

Congrats to the winners. Three folks here got one. One sold already for $1000. At the show, one of our guys walked into the Mint room - no line and got ticket #495/500! He is having it slabbed and holding out for $1200.

Better Luck to everyone next time! Gotta admit it was both fun and frustrating.

Were these tickets only for dealers? I wonder how many in line got nothing. Any idea?

I was shut out on this one. I'm thinking the after market will go crazy on this one for a while. This was the first time that I tried and failed on a hot offering. No rookie here. I was locked and loaded every thing seemed normal untill the wheels fell off.

I think that it was sheer luck to get one.

Four devices, multiple accounts, ultra-fast internet, crash after crash.

Just luck that I got one.

This is THE worst that I've ever seen.

I totally assumed it was fruitless to try for one and yet after a big roller coaster ride on that website I got one by a miracle.

Yes, people ordering these aren't just customers ordering, they are "winners" ...like this was a computer lottery. My computer choked and I ended up with nothing. So much for my complete collection of RPs. This frustrated thousands of collectors without a doubt.

    Sweet. Now I know.

    Just to clarify....

When did the room open for number distribution? Did everyone have a shot (i.e,, starting at 10 for early bird) or did they hand out numbers to dealers prior to that.

Thanks very much for the info.

I believe their is an issue with it being in your cart already. You have to go back to the 2019 palladium thread to find the answer. I don’t remember but I do know it will not let you check out with an unavailable item in your cart. Raufus might remember.

As I recall, for a while if one was in the cart you could check it out during the brief sales windows at 07:00. Did this for a while on a few accounts. Then - and I'd have to read the thread for details - that no longer worked and you had to start from square one.

I have two accounts with a coin in the cart. I'll see if there is a window tomorrow and, if so, how it works out.

I had the same problem as others with the stored CC info not populating. It ended up being faster to just manually type in my CC info.
I will add, that I had only ME, with ONE device at work ordering this. Apparently I got super lucky judging by the other posts here.

I went to check out right as it went on sale 11:00 my time and got this message for 16 minutes straight.

And I refreshed multiple time before reloading from the main sit and everytime I went to checkout all I get is this message. Until 11:16 ct when I get the message "This item has sold out."
    Ahhhhhh!
Why I was ready and waiting on the coin page before it was up for sale. This is not fair. I only wanted one.

Maybe someone could answer this for me since I never fool with modern coins...but what is the point in paying such a big premium for as many of these as you can get your hands on? Are you trying to get them in certain holders, PR70 maybe for the big bucks? I did get 2 confirmed and don't really care about that...I just want my piece of da pie, but am merely curious.

You had me laughing at your phrase "Mint induced stroke". I've never had one of those, but then again I almost had one in 2008 when I ordered two of the 2008-W burnished Silver Eagles and both were the Reverse of 2007 variety.

Oops, something went wrong is going to be my catchphrase for the day at work.

I got one after 15 minutes of fighting, but annoyed that it defaulted to the highest shipping level. Oh well, at least I got one.

Was trying on two systems, noticed that the system that checked out as guest worked, the one I was logged on my mint account did not. It was a race to see which one got there first.

Somebody on another thread quoted my e-mail to the Mint from October 10, I can't believe I kinda hit the nail right on the head so many weeks ago!

    "Dear Customer Service,

I am writing to comment about your newly-announced American Eagle 2019 One Ounce Silver Enhanced Reverse Proof Coin, to go on sale on November 14. The 30,000 mintage limit is way too small for all of the people who will want this coin. I fear that I will be on your website that day and try to order one, and yet still get shut out because of the expected heavy volume of orders. Please consider upping the production on this issue to a more reasonable number, like 100,000. Honestly, if I miss out on getting this coin, I'm never buying another silver eagle from the Mint again."

LOL, I suspect you'll have more luck writing to Santa.

Get over it, I don't think they care if you don't order from them again. I cannot wait for the next time I get the chance to spent 20 min and $70 to make $$$$! Be thankful that opportunity exists.

So frustrated to waste that time and energy to come up blank. Makes me wonder if there’s anything I could’ve done differently. Enter in cc info manually rather than try to populate? Never touch the refresh button after my order processing thing turned to oops something went wrong? What a tremendous let down and waste of time. The mint should just hold a lottery for purchase option. Have everybody submit email address for entry, send out emails to the lucky 30k that they have the option to purchase in a 24 hour period and then have regular sale for the remainder. Seems more efficient than the $&@! show I just witnessed.

2 out of 4 for me, I'll take a 50% success rate considering the nightmare that it was. One was actually easier to get using a $75 mint e-gift certificate that I purchased yesterday... go figure! We'll see what tomorrow morning can bring if anything.

Hypervigilance, preoccupation with the trauma, upcoming nightmares and now the panic begins on eBay for the buyers and on the BST as the sellers try to get their commitments filled.
