Looks pretty clean, but I don't know these well enough to know if it is AU or MS. Thoughts?

AU53
Terrible at grading gold, but i think it may be 55-58. Hard to tell weak strike - vs - wear on these Indians from pics, especially the $2.50, and $5 incused ones.
I may not know what I'm doing most of the time, but I'm Damn good at it. 😇 😈
Not my area, but I'd guess either 58 or low MS...

I'd say 53 also, nice looking piece JW.
It appears to be a nice CH AU - AU55 my wager.
Sure is a beauty! 58 is a good bet.

My guesstimate is 58

58 here. Nice one!

AU55-ish, I would guess. Definitely not UNC IMHO
In the AU camp.
That was my first thought. Hard to tell from a pic but either way it's worth getting graded.

Wow. I am not seeing all the wear problems mentioned so far, Overall she is very nice looking with no major distracting hits and good color. Looks a lot like my MS64 1910-D Indian. Maybe I need a new computer monitor.
My US Mint Commemorative Medal Set
Whatever it grades it is exceptionally free of hits and abrasions. Really nice coin.
I don’t see any more shame in guessing too high, than I do in guessing too low. So, while I could see the coin getting graded AU58, my guess is MS61. And anything less than 58 would surprise me. In fact, I’d grade it 62 before I’d grade it 55 or lower.

Hmm. I was really hoping it was MS, but even if it is a high AU, it is a really clean example, so I'll probably send her in.
“Probably”? You’re kidding, right? You have to send it in, after all of the grade guesses you’ve received.😉

I love this series!
I would guess AU58 based on the softness of the eagle' wing's bottom edge... but if this could be determined in-hand to be softness of strike, then I'd say the coin could go as high as 63. It could very well be strike-related, given the lack of any corresponding wear on the obverse.
Actually, because there are no major hits or other distractions, then depending how much chatter in the fields is being covered up by the photo technique, I might say this could actually be a very choice, exceptionally clean 63, but I don't think the coin would go higher than a 63 based on the afore mentioned chatter.

I'm in the low MS camp. I usually look first at the lock of hair above the eye, and then check out the eagle.
It's definitely worthy of a slab, and may well be MS. Good luck.

60+/-
Think that covers me
I think there is a bit of high point rub, so 58; remarkably free of significant hits. Send 'er in!
Looks 58 since the high points seem to have a touch of wear. Without the rub looks solid 62.
AU58...
61/2 ish.
I would say low MS... Definitely send it in for grading.... And please come back and let us know what grade is assigned. Cheers, RickO
I think it would slab 62.
AU-58 / 62. It will go into an Unc. slab.
I believe it was cleaned too, I own over 100 and don't have any with a uneven color like that
The color is even. The lighter areas in the picture are the luster.
It's really hard to be definitive off any photos, even good ones. There's a light of reflected light in those. It looks to me like there could be a little rub on the eagle's wing (or not). It also looks to me like a lot of marks in the obverse field and on the cheek that could be handling marks. I still think high AU from the picture, but I could see anything from maybe 53/55 to 61/62
First thought was 62.

First thought was me likey, second thought was me likey more.
Looks like a nice 58 to me.
Have it boxed up ready to ship Monday for grading (along with 5 other gold coins!). Will let yall know! Here's hoping for MS64+!! ha
Good luck.

55-58 here. Nice coin.
Hoping for a grade any day now... any last minute guesses? I have trueviews coming too, so I will post those when they hit.
61/62. I like the fields.
MS 62
Its a lovely coin and one type Id like to add to my collection! I'm in the 58 camp, so update us when you get it back!
I'm in the ms 64 camp.
63
58/61, I'd probably go with 61.
Always a favorite series and design......The first US gold coin I purchased as a kid.
61
Grade just popped! I will upload the TrueView when it's ready, and we can all re-guess, lol. All 6 gold coins straight graded, which is awesome news since one of them I busted out of a cleaned NGC holder I knew she wasn't cleaned though!
AU55
Pretty darn good looking MS61 if I say so myself!
