I would imagine the big dealers are still buying a few.
Pinehurst sold 70 NGC’s recently for $1789, to be shipped at later date.
So far, waiting has worked.

Those sales are more than the gold or platinum proof this year. I think it is ironic the sales are in the 15,000 range.
I also can say for sure there are more returns on the way back to the Mint, that have not yet been counted. And I still have not received a return label in my email. Call twice a week, same answer, "very busy with returns, keep waiting".
Wow, Goldminer, that is ridiculously slow return service, even for the Mint.
They bill your card in mere nano seconds and then “no rush, we’re busy” is your answer to a return. Sounds more like a business going out of business.
I am feeling even more comfortable buying in the secondary market, graded, especially considering the very high premium they have put on recent issues that has tended to evaporate over time.
Just called again and now the Mint says they don't send return labels for this now, but that they have UPS do it and they will "email" me a return label and they gave me a UPS tracking number??? So I check UPS tracking and says shipment ready for UPS, will update tracking when "It arrives at our facility" and on the side says 1 pound UPS ground label.
Has this happened to anyone else? Wait two weeks for an emailed label, now looks like it will ship UPS ground for a return label??? Amazing.
No that has not happened to me. They send out an email in a week or so with a label and they don’t refer me directly to UPS.
Sounds like they are running amok.

This is going to be a shor-lived series. At least the proof platinum series has a different reverse each year.
Well, these have had different finishes. All kinds of possibilities there.
And I'm pretty sure there are 1 or 2 Roosevelt dime collectors and they haven't changed designs since 1946. And Eagles, gold and silver, don't change designs and people collect those.
Did it weigh a pound? My email server must be on a diet.
Probably standard weight for certain items. I don't know what mine said for weight, I didn't look. I just slapped it on the Liberty medal and dropped it at the UPS Store. No fuss, no bother.
The new Mint price is $300 more than I paid for an NGC 69 from Pinehurst. Wow!
I may get a black label PCGS 70 later but for now I couldn’t pass up their deal.
And with spot tonight touching $1700....

Are those raw prices or slabbed?
It's worth noting how much the premium on the 2018 coin has shrunk - as well as the price. The coins (raw) currently sell for $2000-$2200 which is barely changed from a year ago despite the $700 higher palladium price.

Riddle me this: how can Pinehurst sell the RP for $1789 when original Mint pricing was at $2000?
The bay shows that Pinehurst has Currently sold 24 Graded 70 coins. 3 Sold @ $2,895.00. Most have Sold as “accepted “, however, when BIN prices are Listed @ $2,449.00, $2,895.00 and $2,995.00, it doesn’t take that many “accepted” offers to offset the Losses incurred on the Loss Leader 69’s they originally sold...
That is a huge loss. I haven’t seen previous issues willing to lose that much that quickly. As a percentage of the total price. I am happy that I was also able to get a tenth ounce NGC 69 gold liberty for $180 when the current issue price is still $235.
Helluva loss leader.

“Helluva loss leader”. Look at bay sales and tell me what you would do with a bunch of 69s that you have to move? A raw OGP coin went today @ auction for $1,800.00. A PCGS 70 went today for $2,251.00 and another PCGS 70 went for $2,276.00.
Once the window for returns closes, and you have inventory to move, you move ‘em for what the market will bear. I would Not buy one of the 69s at the price you paid because I see the market getting a Lot weaker than it is currently...
And I received mine from Pinehurst today, NGC 69, and pictures do not do any of these palladium eagles justice. I am so glad to have the continuing Pd Eagle in this set.
I like how they are displayed in these slabs (NGC and especially PCGS), now.
By creating space between the edge of the coin (via the prongs) and the solid slab makes a positive visual difference.

If they are a bulk buyer, they could get the (not very) generous 5% Mint discount in which case their purchase price is only $1900.
Palladium coins are Not subject to the Mint’s bulk discount program...
Even the proofs? I mean the bullion coins I understand, but I would have thought the proofs with their $400 premium could be included.
