Before I start, I'm sorry for so many pictures. All of these were purchased last month but I just received them yesterday. I recently started working on the 1970 Topps HOF and All Star sets. Most of these are for those sets. The others are just additions to my collection.

You are really going quickly on your 1970s - always like seeing your cards. You have a nice collection.

Hopefully next year I will be able to attend my first national and have the same experience that everyone else has had on the forum. As my internship winds down here in Vegas, I wanted to pick up some baseball cards before heading home. I picked up 69' Topps baseball to help with that set and finished off my 76' baseball set. However, I saw these two cards up for sale and I felt like I had to have them. I have to say, 1956 Topps are the most beautiful cards I have ever seen and will be my next set I start.

I finally have one of these on the way. As far as I know this is only the second one of these to show up on EBAY since they came out earlier in the year. The first one I missed and it was really cheap. I'm still regretting that. One of the few times I could have used a sniping program. I definitely overpaid for this one, but the search is over!

Ok folks more stuff scanned this morning. These came from several recent box breaks I took part in
What I really like about 2019 Stadium Club autos is the on card aspect. While I dotn collect post-2007
I occasionally will make exceptions for certain stuff

    Really nice Jeff.

Agree with the "on card" autos also.

Didn't do TSC - since I did do Finest this year - autos also "on card."

edit: I think the graders are getting tough on what they call a 9 vs 10 - sometimes I can't tell the difference?

Low to mid grade vintage is my sweet spot. Strong eye appeal a must. And many here know of my passion for the Yankees. Just ensnared and enamored by them for all the same reasons as everyone else. So this pickup is a good one for me in that it’s a rare variation within a rare set that I am working on and it’s a legendary Yankees pitcher to boot!

Picked this up at the National, a signed 1978 David Thompson iron-on patch. I wonder if PSA would slab it.

Picked up this 1973 NHL Players Photo sheet, series #1 this weekend. I may have to try to complete this set but I picked this up because Tom Reid and Keith Magnuson are on it.

Tough to tell Mike but most of the grading differences in modern stuff post 1995 lie in surface and corner issues. Centering on many items requires repeated exposure to the series to determine although any time the standard card formula is used gets easy. Finest is a prime example of where spending time looking at corners & surface would pay off. Surface on the other hand a lot of items tend to have foiling issues and chipping problems- similar to how 70-80's cards had the same chipping headaches. Edges are like the last thing anyone looks at or cares about as very few items possess that problem- becomes more prevalent on thicker items.

I'm too old to care to waste time looking thru some loupe- I eyeball it and if it looks close I send it. I've sold cards from 1 to 10 so I accept the lesser grades and learn from them myself. Now if $ mattered and I cared to try and make $$ from a hobby I'd scan it all and send only my best. But never been my forte-- its a hobby and I feel doing it the way I do I keep it that way. I get more enjoyment seeing those mixed in 10's myself :#

A few more scans done tonight. Catching up on stuff thats sat all week. All these items back came from a box break just doen last month. I had a bulk pop in 8 business days ( while bulks from April sit)- go figure. These are from that bulk sub

Hiya Jeff - my apology for not being clear.

I was talking about the difference in some cases between a 9 and 10 auto grade.

CPAmike and other auto hounds probably can tell you exactly what they like @ PSA/DNA for 10 autos
I have my own ideas but will defer commentary to the auto experts B)

    Couple more back and scanned

No, that is for the card as it is not dual graded. If I were to guess, the auto would be a 9.
