OMG! OMG! I forgot did they sell out?
Not likely from the response here.
I got one!
Forgot. Even wrote a pen and paper note, that I couldn’t figure out, until five mins ago.... “AM LEG” I’m thinking why’d I write down American Memorial quarters? Doh!
I'm glad I'm not the only one who sometimes has a hard time what your abbreviations are...
I'm waiting for the first day order number. It won't be a record breaker. No sell out in 5 minutes this time. I do like the design which is why I ordered one.
Mine just got on the truck. This’ll be a three week wait.
Figured out the smartie-post. If it’s not in that first batch then it’s a three week delivery window. If it’s in that first batch then in the first week.
I keep telling myself I am taking advantage of the free postage and it’s good for me and the wallet.
It's a little different for us in AK & HI. It used to be delivery went Stupid Post which took an average 21 days. Rarely less, sometimes several days longer. I brought it up on every survey the mint offered.....unacceptable I'd say. Then about two years ago orders to us went out Priority Mail at the budget rate. Great...the Mint listened ! (I like to think they listened to me, saw the logic and changed to process. Just my imagination but that's what I tell myself) Now with the free shipping reward there is no budget $4.95 charge. Double win for us.
A saying here - "Lucky you live Hawaii". And in this case Alaska too. So for a couple years I've enjoyed quick delivery. Ordered this Coin & Medal set Monday @Noon EDT, delivered Thursday @1:30pm HST. Thank you Mint.
Subscription items still come Stupid Post which is irritating but I can't complain. My Uncirculated Sets will come next week Thursday long after most have theirs in hand.

To meet the 3-day priority the first leg is flown to ya’ll in the Pacific. (minus subs) Lucky!
Unless I plan on FS/FDOI slabs then free delivery is great. I’ve actually forgotten something was ordered, since it can take three weeks, I’ll remember when I see the typical Mint package sitting in the mailbox.
I did notice there is a new process during checkout to enter an email address to get notified of shipping status. It works, too. Got a text that something was shipped and it’s the Vet medal set!
Sales for the 2019 American Legion 100th Anniversary Coin and Medal set have reached 7,025 of the maximum 10,000 sets available.
Thanks one again. I checked Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday on several sites looking for 1st day sales. You have the eye for sure.
A request:
Keep your good eye on the look out for the bronze version of the medal to be available. I'm sure to forget all about it. I'll write it on my calendar in December to remind me.

Where does the information come from when it's not on the Mint's Production & Sales link?
You probably call Micheal White. He's in the office of public affairs for the Mint. He's often cited when they announce these first day/non-Sunday sales numbers.
His number is publicly available on the cumulative sales figure page, though I don't know if they take calls from us peons...
As a veteran, but not a commemorative coin collector, I have to admit, that the set that I received yesterday, is artistically a winner in my old eyes. I was hesitant at first to order it, but I'm glad I did. Cudos to the Mint.
"Bongo drive 1984 Lincoln that looks like old coin dug from ground."
I can never get good pics of my coins and this is no exception. Highly reflective. Had to tilt and hood and this is the result. Looks a lot better in-hand!
Picture looks like a some scuff on 1-2 o'clock. Is that all just reflection from damage on the plastic, not the medal? Still waiting on mine, hope to get mine in the 30 day window. Why does it take so long...

Sellout seems possible.
Used a microfiber and it was a smudge on the capsule... Whew!

Where is the denomination on the silver dollar in this set? I cant see it on the coin in the mint picture.
At about 4 o’clock
the mint finally got the mintage right for a set. not a medal fan though

BTW - it shipped.
Really? I'm not sure why this set isn't "unlimited". Let them mint as many as they can sell...all 5,000 of them.

My Coin and Medal set was delivered today. Both look perfect.

Quoting myself again...
Okay, wrong again... Coin World reports sales of the Coin/Medal set for May 23. (Three days after start of sale.)
American Legion silver set: 70% of edition sells at Mint
The first week sales for the WWI coin/medal set was three days, so these numbers may be equivalent.

I knew it would happen.
That is the primary source, but for the first day of sales it’s a press release from the Mint.

I think mine is finally here. Have to go check.
Got it. Took less than two weeks (11 days).

Commemoratives 19CQ 2019 AMERICAN LEGION COIN & MEDAL SET 8466 06/02/2019
At this rate...might be a sell out in two weeks.
Getting close! I like that! Might get another one.

This following represents weeks 10 through 12.

Nice medal. It really makes a difference when cleaned. Thanks, that looks like 70 potential.

Could be worse...
The designs of the Gold and Silver are excellent and deserve a second look by those who have not ordered any at all.
Coin and Medal set (19CQ) Is getting close to SO.
335 sets to go...
19CQ 2019 AMERICAN LEGION COIN & MEDAL SET ........9665...... 06/23/2019
The eagle on the silver medal is nice, but a very very tenuous linkage to the American Legion.
I think I'll pass.
To many veterans in my family to pass up this set. Will make a nice Xmas present to those of us still breathing.
Agree!
Looks like the set is sold out

Busy doing something else and was planning on getting another of these it was/is on my list of to dos. Now I have to do the AM thing.
Thanks for the heads-up @OPA.
The set is back, but there is only 34 left.
More than 100 available this AM
I like the gold proof best
Counting the order I made just a few minutes ago for one more set, there are now only 21 sets remaining.
A sellout is imminent...
12 left
Edit to add:
How to: Try to add a large number to the cart.
Down to 6, lol.
This is like watching a slow, lingering death. This one should die sometime today... Until the CC cancels, anyway...
The last six! So close to SO.

Noticed a couple ornaments on the catalog.
“Ornament 2019 United States Mint” and a Mighty Minter version. Hope it’s not made of glass? Send that through PFSWeb’s packaging!
****Once again: **This product is currently unavailable. **
Can’t be my “one” more order.
Yes, I had a post on this. It started with a joke I knew when I was a kid.
Mommy, why are we having Christmas in August?
I decided it was in too poor a taste for today's sensibilities and never posted it.
