It wasn't just toned coins, the guy was kinda shady.
"It does seem like this guy wasn't smart enough to sell a bunch of lower tier items raw on eBay and only grade a selection of the "better" items."
That is exactly what he would do, sell the ones that didn't turn out as good on ebay or in store and send the best ones to be graded.
Edited to add: He toned hundreds of coins and may still be doing it today.
The SLC dealer or edynamic? Maybe both? Even being shady is not enough to put some parties out of business.
There were 3 guys that were part of Kolor Kraft Coins, 2 of them were okay to work with, the other one not soo much.
One of them still has their ebay account and still sells there but I am not sure what one of the 3 is running it.

I’ve never heard of the “PKOK” Ike’s mentioned here but I instantly recognized the toning in those trueviews as kpl coins from the Utah seller. I don’t remember what I bought even but it was almost always proofs and I dont think one ever QCd.
Ed dynamic Is or was out of Florida somewhere. The stuff I see from him now are cartoonish looking AT buffs, though he did used to make some semi respectable toners.

Anyone have anything to share a few years after I posted this thread?
Any new updates?
Any photos? @braddick
Sorry it took so long, and I also apologize, it isn't an Ike.
A few of the early silver and 40% Kennedy halves also received the Peacock Toning- yet really, very few as most of the coins
were Ike dollars.

Here you go. From ebay circa 2015/2016. Originated from Sandy, Utah. (SLC suburb)
Why are the serial numbers so high on these coins?

This whole term, “Peacock” Ike, is new to me. This surprises me as I thought I knew all the fancy and nuanced lingo.
I’m confused by the examples shown. What is a “Peacock” Ike? All I’m seeing are a bunch of AT Ikes. Is Peacock the PC word for AT now? I can’t keep up with all you whippersnappers.
Having fun while switching things up and focusing on a next level PCGS slabbed 1950+ type set, while still looking for great examples for the 7070.

Sounds good. I just figured if he was bragging about it, he was proud of them and wanted to be associated with them, but I don't know the history.
Was there any fallout?

Interesting that there is not a single toned coin listed as of this posting.

I have not seen any listed by them for quite a while.

Typical haze on that one; nothing unusual.
.
While the serial numbers today seem to be more linear - This older winesteven thread could explain it.
