Brady was crap on these last two drives. Two shots at Gronk in the endzone and he didn't even put the ball anywhere near where he could have attempted a catch.
Hats off to Pittsburgh, they made enough plays on both sides of the ball when they needed to.

They got the Jets & Bills to finish out this season so the 2nd seed is still attainable but they would need Houston to lose at least once. They got the Eagles & Jags left to play.
You are starting to see Brady make more and more mental mistakes under pressure. Not saying it is the end, as Brady has put up some sterling performances this year, but if Brady were playing more like the Brady of old this team would have only 2 or 3 losses. This season is the worst I can remember Brady playing when he is under pressure.

Maybe some of that. Guys are dropping balls that they shouldn't though, Gronk is obviously struggling with something. Not much has been exciting on offense this year. Gordon has been better than I expected.

Agreed but like Bronco said the receivers are dropping balls and the play calling hasn’t been spectacular in my opinion.

Dropping a few passes at the wrong time is a killer. It destroys drives and can overtax the defense.
I think Gronkowski is probably reflecting the beating he’s taken over the years. The key Patriot players are showing their age, and perhaps the other coaches have caught on to Belichick’s system.

ya but with the magic healing potion from Tom's wingnut buddy they would recover but apparently the NFL can detect it now
Brady definitely has looked his age at times this year including last night. I was just thinking that was their third loss this season where they scored just 10 points, how many times can we say that's happened here in NE with Brady? Maybe once or twice in his career.
He looked pretty beat-up at the podium after the game and when asked about that INT in the red zone,he said he was trying to throw it away he just didn't put enough on it. Then on that last drive he put to much on it when he airmailed two passes over Gronk's head into the endzone bleachers.
Last night's game was tough to put all on Brady though, where were Gordon,Gronk & White? Edelman had one of their drops but he at least made some plays but the other three were huge no-shows.
Something must be up with James White these past 2 weeks. He's been Brady's rock all season then had just 6 total touches versus Miami and 7 yesterday.
They better hope Philly or the Jags knock off the Texans and they win out for that 2 seed because I don't see this team winning a road playoff game if it gets to that.
The trouble is Brady can't be a miracle worker at the end of every game. That was true even in his prime. When guys drop balls that Brady throws into their hands and gut, they are killing the team.
Pittsburgh wasn’t that much better that the Patriots in that game, but at least their receivers stretched out and made some tough catches which kept drives going and gave them better field position. A couple of the drops early in the game made a lot of difference for the Patriots.
A couple of calls from the bench were not so hot either. Early in the game they were inside the 10 on a third down play. Instead of looking at the end zone or at least up field, Brady throws one of those little catch and run passes along the line of scrimmage that ended up going nowhere.
The Pats should have won both the Pittsburg and Miami games, but they didn’t. They didn’t execute at the key times of those games, and now they are probably headed for a mediocre one and out season in the playoffs.
If they pay at home, they have a good chance of winning. On the road they far from a .500 team. That’s why this Patriots season is all but over.

Brady is signed through 2019...after that, I predict he'll pack it in. Why on earth, with a net worth north of a half billion dollars, a wife, who's a super model making a zillion more $$, would he subject himself to more physical punishment? And worse yet, risking a potential bad season in 2019 and forcing himself to go out on a low note? Surely he sees the hand writing on the wall. He'll be 42 in August of 2019.
After watching the last 2 games, I think Tom is in decline. They should never have lost to either Miami or Pittsburgh, both games were much too close, allowing for the embarrassing nonsense win by the Dolphins. Although Gronk missed a step in the Miami game, which led to the TD, the game should never have been that close. As for Pittsburgh, the Pats just didn't have it, although the game was well within reach had they played better.
He had a great run, time to buy an island and disappear.
I'll believe their run is over when they either finish with a losing record/no playoffs or Brady/BB retire. Even with how bad they've played at times they're still going to win their division and come very close to a first round bye.
Their last two games are in Foxboro where they're a completely different team than the one we've seen on the road this season. If they end up with the 3 seed their opponent will probably be either Pittsburgh,Baltimore or Indianapolis coming to NE. I don't think any of those three are going into Foxboro and beating NE.

11-5 is a losing record for patriots purposes . Also its a losing record if they don't get to the AFC championship

You do know NE won a SB after finishing with an 11-5 record previously ,right?
We've seen top seeded teams in recent years lose home playoff games they should have won weeks before the championship game,#2 seed Pittsburgh in 2017,#1 seed KC in 2016. NE has a long way to go before not making the AFCCG is a pipedream.

Ya but we know better now. We know its over and they are not going to win. They are terrible. We can get to 11-5 because of who we have left to play but otherwise we end up 9-7
I mean Pittsburgh beat us but they suck, and the eagles beat us for the superbowl and they suck. Jacksonville in the playoffs was tough and they suck. Rams were 11-2 and they are in freefall , and drew brees was motoring along and he blows 3 weeks in a row. KC looked amazing and they are having problems too.
What is going on league wide lately is pretty interesting , no one team is walking away with anything. Feet of clay everywhere you look.
A few teams that no one was paying attention to in september are gathering steam here. But this is where the patriots are supposed to do that and not gonna happen this year. Brady looks scared out there , Gronk looks half dead.
Thanks a lot Julian , you forget to take your masking agent you get popped and now the whole gang is off the juice .

It has been a great run but all good things come to an end and it is time for some other team now.
I doubt any team will ever match what the Pats have done over the past 18 years, it will literally be almost impossible to replicate in my opinion
I would put the Cowboys right up there with them...….different time periods......but the same number of SB wins.
Both are great teams.
Cowboys, Patriots, Steelers, Broncos and 49’ers are the class of NFL all time franchises. I don’t consider the Packers but won’t argue anyone putting them in there I guess

Huge play!
Ok Brady, time to be Brady!
That last pic that Brady threw reminded me of good ole Tony Romo…….TERRIBLE decision!
so field goal to protect a tie? Pats needed 7 anyway 3 wasn't going to help. It did eat up some clock I suppose
It would be nice if Gronk shows up here on this drive.

What is up with these penalties! LETS GO!!!!
Laser Beam!
Interesting if the Patriots score a TD here, whether they go for 1 or 2.
I say Belichick might go for 2. I'll why explain if he does it. LOL

14 penalties, dropped passes and a huge letdown sums it up
4 of the 5 offensive linemen had a penalty on those last two drives,I was waiting to see if the refs got Andrews too.

In Bill we don't trust anymore.
It's hard to believe that IF (BIG IF) Dallas had won today we would have the same record as the Pats.
NE has 5 losses for the first time since 2009.

We need to better use our backs in the passing game.
Playcalling is not maximizing our potential.
Run defense is questionable.
But I'll enjoy the ride
