Well after a lot of tossing and turning last night, I woke up resolved to pull the trigger on this one. My "biggest" card purchase ever, and certainly the new cornerstone of my Bregman collection (once I have it in hand). This purchase will certainly put me on the sidelines for a bit as far as buying cards goes, but I couldn't be happier to be the new owner. Gonna be stalking the mailman this week!
Always looking for tougher PSA 10's of Nolan Arenado, Alex Bregman, Mookie Betts, Francisco Lindor, and Mike Trout.
So after a very long hiatus, not by choice, life has been kicking my a$$, I’ve decided to jump back in the saddle, with a primary focus on the decade that made me fall in love with collecting... the 80s. This is my first of hopefully many, upon my return as a more focused and patient collector.
Main collecting focus is Patrick Roy playing days 85/86-02/03, expect 1/1, National/All-Star stamped cards.PC Completion: 2,548/2,952; 86.31% My Patrick Roy PC Website:https://proy33collector.weebly.com
I miss my PSA 10, so got this to hopefully be a review candidate. This has to be the cleanest PSA 9 I've seen in awhile, and much nicer than my current PSA 9 I'm replacing it with (it has corner fray which is a huge eyesore)
And one more while the eBay bucks promotion was going:

I don't think I posted this. Sometimes a stain is your friend. This replaces a previous 7 that I had. I thought it looked good in the scans and noticed the stain on the back. Was hoping it would look as good as I thought it might and it turned out better. The card is flawless sans the stain (or discoloration, whichever it is) on the back. All 4 corners perfect, edges perfect, looks Mint 9+. This is one of those cards I just leave out on my desk because I want to look at it in-hand every other day. I love this card.
I've been looking for one of these for a while at a reasonable price. I pulled the trigger on this one within 10 seconds of looking at the listing. I have it in hand now and have successfully removed the price sticker without any damage to the cellophane.
And the centering on the Mattingly is insane. If I bust it, it gets a 10 easily. But it will forever remain sealed.

Next, buying Cobb Bat On and Off in PSA 2 - 3.5 range

Nice Havlicek pickup. The corners and centering on the front of that card are incredible. Well done Arthur!!!

Reminds me of a bus trip on July 20 1969 I took with my Dad to Parc Jarry to see the Mets play the Expos. That Van Brocklin and "Hondo" are lights out.

I haven't collecting any football cards in a long time, but for some reason these 88's have been calling my name of late. I picked up the signed rookie last month which is now at PSA for the dual service. I just picked up this Bo that was not signed.

My guess based on the slab age is that is when a dual red flip cost $25 and the blue flip could be had for around $10. Pricing used to really suck to get pre-1998 autos into red flips.
I normally don't like to post until I have the item in hand, but pretty excited about this one. Either this copy or the loose sheet I already have will be headed for the chopping block ...

Are you cutting your own cards w/ a cutter? I have a couple of sheets I need to get cut.
I haven't tried yet, I've had Nate/dytch2220 do my cutting in the past since he's got the good equipment for it. I've got a pile of stuff ready, so once I get this in hand I'll be reaching out to him to see if he's interested.

Grabbed this one the other night. Loved this card as a kid.

First I want to thank Tim aka 1951Wheaties for this generous gift of Bob Lemon! Is this great or what?!
And coincidentally, this came back from PSA - it was an 8OC but I'd rather have it NQ at 7 and it came back that way - a very "close" 7 on centering.
So now that you have one in hand, what do you think of the Wheaties Premiums? Honest thoughts...

They're beauties! If I didn't have a full plate? I'd seriously consider them.
Slight downside? I have around 25 graded T3s which eat up some real estate - just imagine adding another large format to my collection? Big!
Thanx again buddy.
Got these in.

Centering off but color and corners are amazing. My horrible scanner does not do it justice. A huge overpay for a 5 but glad I pulled the trigger.
