I actually prefer this PSA 8 to all the 9s of this card I’ve seen on eBay in the last several years. Perfect corners, nice cut...vertical centering just a tad too far off for the 9. But pretty close!
Picked this card up today in White Plains. Another card I’m happy with and feel is a good value. Great corners, nice whiteness and print quality, no tilt. So 62/38 centering instead of 60/40 saves me about $350.
It wasn’t great honestly. It seemed like every time I saw something really nice it was just being shown off for a future auction. There were the usual couple of dealers with some nice stuff, but calling it the “East Coast National” seems a bit of a stretch.
I am such a sucker for nice centering. This one is likely not going to bump with the upper left, however it is a sharp pack fresh and oohhh., the centering

That is a beautiful 75 Ryan and what a strong 8 - absolutely love that card and you picked up a great example.
Couple August pick ups for me. I over paid for the Trout but have seen prices go from $2k to $5k for this card since I started looking for one. The centering is OK, not great, and the PD is much more noticeable in the scan than in hand.
The Tiger is to replace a PSA 9 that bumped to a PSA 10 last year.
I picked these up over the last couple weeks. The 56s are for my 56 HOF set that I will never complete. The 62 AS and 63 Fleer are upgrades for those sets. The 58 AS is for my 58 AS subset.

Still not entirely sure what this guy is - it's been described as coming with a board game, underwear and a few other things. I was always under the impression that this was a 'lobby card' for the movie "Safe at Home." Whatever it is, EVERYONE was cashing in on these two guys in '61 and '62. Who could blame them?

Collecting PSA 9's from 1970-1977. Raw 9's from 72-77. Raw 10's from '78-'83. Collecting Unopened from '72-'83; mostly BBCE certified boxes/cases/racks. Prefer to buy in bulk.
So I went fishing again and caught a couple Trout. At first I thought they were Rainbow Trout when I brought them into the boat but come to find out they are actually Mike Trout !! Both were caught on a Mepps #2 Aglia Spinner tipped with a night crawler.
After being very disappointed in the 9 I bought earlier in the month (a glaring defect on the right edge that should've knocked the card down to probably a 7) I decided to use the 15% on upgrading to this:
Now to try and move my 7 in a 9 holder to recoup some of the cost....

I have been trying to track down a copy for quite some time. Brock’s best pack issued signed card.

That's a really good Hunter - Dave.
Sharp corners and if it were in a 9 holder - the centering would be fine with me.
Weekend chores are done (got a good head start on 'em last night), so time to play with my cardboard a little.
These were my two most significant pickups at the National:
My 4th Brooklyn Cracker Jack:

Great pick up! How was White Plains show this time? I was going to go, but couldn't at the last minute. Thanks

Got some real good grades recently. I think the Grader of Death was on vacation.

Nice 1972 addition...looks like it could have been a 10!

Great looking Gehrig! Love the centering and the colors.

Was looking at this and wondering how this got a 3.5 with that giant crease and then realized the screen on my phone was cracked.

That is a sweet looking 61 Mantle and a very strong 8!

+1
And tough to find centering like that!
Congratulations.
Awesome 61 Mantle!! Saw that one and noticed how nice it was and then it sold. Glad it found a nice home

The ‘56 Mantle obviously looks much nicer than a 5, but that certainly suggests a hidden defect. Any spider creases on front or back?
Really nice upgrade on the 63F James.

Two separate spots on the right edge is the flaw. Check the edges to the right of his ear above and slightly below.

WOW!!
I picked up a 1962 Ron Santo card with green tint. Ron is one of my favorite players of the 60s.
Next, I picked up Art Donovan for my 1958 Colts subset. Only 2 more Colt players and the Colts team card needed to complete this subset.
That 71 Morgan is a thing of beauty.
Pretty happy gazing at this pair

The various Mantles being shown are all SWEET!! That 71' Joe Morgan is flat out incredible - Black Border Beauty with an incredible action image!!!

Not a centered mantle but I see we already have that covered for the month, insane cards Matt.
Added this little 1/1 to my growing Judge Collection. Hope he comes back soon, it's not the same without him.
Those Mantles are amazing.
Picked this up with the 15% discount just now.
