Getting back to the Mantle side of my collection, I picked up a nice example of this team issued oversize photo...and I may send it in to get a peek at a jumbo holder in person:

It has been a slow month as far as pickups go, I've been going through a little lull and spending my time trying to organize and narrow my collecting focus to one direction. I did pick these up earlier in the month.
You guys have really picked up some nice items this month. The main reason I picked these up, I was feeling very nostalgic. Bo was and still is the best athlete I ever seen play. If he didn't get hurt, what could have been.
I also had to pickup the BOZ

I have noticed you have been picking up higher graded Mantles. You always have focused on centering as your #1 litmus test into your collection. Are you now also placing more weight to corners than before for an overall stunning presentation? Is nice corners a greater appreciation for you?
I like a cards' overall presentation from centering to corners as well as coloration and registration and print quality. A card does not have to be perfect to excite me to buy it...but if the above factors are strong...then eye appeal will come just naturally.

Great pickup...congrats!
Thanks very much. Centering and a focused image remain my favorite attributes by far, and especially when it comes to PreWar I am also a huge fan of back damage, or a pinhole or wrinkle that is away from the central image.
That said, when it comes to The Mick I find myself increasingly drawn to cards that have it all, if and when I can find them.
One thing I have noticed as a Mantle collector over the years is that a surprising majority of his high-grade cards would not attain such grades given today's standards, what with the tilt and centering issues they display. What I love about finding centered Micks in any grade is the tough hunt due to the rarity of great centering, and so that satisfying challenge is only amplified when hunting centering and image quality in a card that also has strong edges and corners.
Got a PSA order back today. Pretty happy with the results. Disappointed in the Eichel YG as something clearly happened either during shipping or at PSA that dinged the two bottom corners. They also could've spelled Dubnyk's name correctly (3rd time in 3 orders with a label error).

All nice cards. Congrats on the pick-ups. I particularly love that ‘71 Morgan and the ‘62 Mantle.

Love those Bo's and The Boz.
Was hard to match the adrenaline high of the 62 and 59 but managed to make it happen...

Matty - great color and centering on that Mantle and can never go wrong with a high end 56 Mantle in high grade!

It does say Gem Mint 0, not sure why my scanner didn't pick up the 1. This is the first time I've had a scan do that.

It's usually due to an aggressive "dust removal" or similar setting. I recall another member having some funky 71T FB scans due to that.

Excellent! Are you going to post pics?
Yes...this weekend.
I overpaid for this card a bit even with the 15% off, but I’m glad I did!
Really nice card. Great centering and color. Good purchase.
