I have a strip of dirt in my little Southern California back yard. It’s been grass for decades, and I felt keeping it grass was pointless. So, part of it became a raised bed garden that’s been giving me food, the other part I turned into a native wildflower patch. The experiment turned out better than I had hoped!

In retrospect maybe not a good venture for Goodyear...this is an advertisement enlarged proof I bough at a garage sale some years back from the family of an exec. at Campbell Ewald.
It is not that life is short, but that you are dead for so very long.
Bad Friday for me today. Had to miss the NH coin show today and had the pleasure of someone backing into my truck without leaving a note. Drowned my sorrows in shrimp tempura and spicy tuna. Topping it off with this beast!
As a precursor to my "Background Actor" role on Hawaii Five-0 of recent, I just discovered some old photos from my high school days with my character Reverend Hale on stage in "The Crucible."

Then there was the time that I climbed into an earthquake crevice:
Guess acting runs in the family though - maybe a remake of "Sound of Music" would be on the agenda:

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas --- so if you want to check out this Lego display just up the street from the former home of Binion and his infamous Silver Dollar Hoard -- you will have to go to Vegas:
And for those into Las Vegas nostalgia, you will be pleased to learn that the just opened Casino on Fremont Street housing the present Lego display has preserved inside the landmark neon sign that once graced the outside of its predecessor:
And these just outside of Vegas:
And then back into town to capture "The Strip" with some newly added views:
Before heading just north of Las Vegas to the "Red Rock" mountains that overlook the city:
This Friday Eve, here are some photos from my most recent travel to Japan before the current travel restrictions.
Featured are views in and above Kobe in the Arima Onsen village and various Japanese delicacies, which among others, include mochi strawberries, tempura, sashimi, and kabayaki (grilled unagi or eel).
