3 miles out in a kayak, is a little dangerous, no?

Much tighter in Texas waters. Those must have been deep judging by their air bladders & eyes popping out.

AUSTIN- The private recreational angler red snapper season opens Monday, June 1, 2020 for a projected 63-days in federal waters. Red snapper fishing is open year around in state waters. The season length is based on historical landing data, last year’s fishing effort data and the state’s allocation from the 2019 stock assessment. Bag and size limits will remain unchanged; 2 fish per person daily with a 16-inch minimum size limit in federal waters, and 4 fish per person daily with a 15-inch minimum in state waters.

The problem with state waters (up to 9 miles out) is you can't find them that shallow. You have to travel out 30 plus miles to find 10 fathoms.

These are actually called vermillion rockfish with a limit of 10 in any length. I believe the limit will change to 5 next year.

These are sold in stores as red snapper.

These were caught at a depth of 178 feet on squid.

    Super delicious species.

You ever try the lure snapper slapper? Or maybe free lining a mackerel. We usually find the bigger ones at mid depths.
Anyway, you have bigger Kahoonies than me cause you won't catch me paddling around with great whites, hell no!

Squid works so well that I hardly ever try lures.

We use live mackerel for gamefish like Yellowtail, WSB and Dorado.

Great whites, Makos and Hammerheads are exciting to see on a kayak. So is a Humpback Whale breaching and coming your way :o

Yes, but the best are the (semi-private) cement tubs out in nowhere on BLM Land in the Owens Valley near Hot Creek ;)

Very much, to play into the narrative of the thread.
And how random you are to point out my randomness of his random pic on this random thread.🤣
Random question. Are you the insider reincarnated?

Upside down wall plugs usually indicate that one of the outlets is controlled by a wall switch, often located near the entrance door to the room.

Oh cool, I never knew that and I learned something new today. MLB straighten a paper clip and insert into plug and then flip the switch. Then let us know the results 🤣
