I can't believe Toronto sent a star player away who actually wanted to play out his career in Toronto to receive a slightly better player who let them know he will be on the first bus out of town.

I agree but after how the playoffs went getting swept by the Cavs with DeRozan being benched the team decided to move him. They made him & the coach the scapegoats. Even with Kawhi, I don't think that team is as good as Boston,Philly & maybe Indiana.
You gotta really wonder what Magic & Lebron are putting together over in LA this offseason. They added Rondo,Lance Stephenson,Javale McGee and now Michael Beasley, its like they're collecting all of the biggest malcontents from this year's free agent group. The only guy they missed out on was Dwight Howard.
LeBron James just hinted that he could run for president in 2020
Ya just can't make this chit up. LOL
No political commentary, to keep it sports related, in my view chit such as this has to distract from the focus of winning basketball games, which is what LeBron just got paid to do.
Lebron's tenure with the Lakers has flop written all over it.

I honestly believe his signing in LA had more to do with his career off the court along with being able to live near his son's new school,which was chosen as a stepping stone towards a future NBA career, over winning championships which was probably third on the list foe going there. As a NBA move,he knows how hard its gonna be in the West getting bye some of the better teams let alone GS.

I agree with ya!
Hollywood and all that jazz.
But POTUS? Come on LeBron, stop making a fool out yourself.
James as POTUS would likely turn out similar to Jesse, The Body, Ventura being the governor of Minnesota.
However, you never know what voters will do.
Actors have been elected (Reagan and Arnold were elected governor of Calif. and Reagan was elected POTUS). Trump was elected. Ventura was elected. Sony Bono was elected. People with a high public profile (i.e. Oprah) command the attention of the public and will receive votes, even if they are unsuited for the job.
If James does run in 2020 and is nominated, the debates between him and Trump would make for great theater. Trump has a blowhard style while James is very skilled at being "passive-aggressive".

Jesse was a riot to listen to broadcasting wrestling , exactly nobody enjoys listening to LeBron talk , its like fingernails on a chalk board 24/7 .
I would like to see a reporter in a post game press conference ask James about his presidential aspirations and if James confirms same have the reporter ask follow up questions about James positions on a laundry list of issues including:
Illegal immigration and whether to build a wall or just open the borders and let anyone and everyone in without any effort to keep track of anyone;
Terrorism and what to do about it;
The role of government;
Reparations;
Affirmative action (including in the NBA);
Deficit spending by government and what to do about the National Debt;
Why stop there. Ask Lebron and the current POTUS about how they feel about freedom of speech. Freedom of the press. The right to peacefully protest and Separation of Church and State. How about Russia? Actually it’s pretty clear how the current POTUS feels on those subjects

At least he is trying to make things better.....unlike the guy before him who made most of this mess!!!
Devin Booker, 2018 (bike riding with no hands = injury), reminds me of Monta Ellis circa 2011 (MoPed riding = injury) and Madison Bumgarner 2017 (dirtbike riding = injury).
All had signed big contracts (probably with contract terms that prohibit the player from doing stuff that could result in injury), all suffered injuries and as a result all missed (or will possibly miss) training camp and/or regular season games.
Those are almost as bad as Plaxico shooting himself in the nightclub or the Jaguars kicker that almost chopped his leg off with an axe in the locker room. There's all kinds of stupidity in Pro sports.
edit: Then you have Jason Pierre-Paul blowing half his hand up too.

Kawhi, and his approach to the game, is starting to remind me of Dwight Howard.

The "Chuckster" had notions of running for office at one time. Maybe they could pair up on a Prez. ticket.

LeBron might start off his campaign with, "A basketball in every pot"
Hopefully his manager will quickly point out to him that basketballs are not edible, even when cooked in gravy.
See how I kept that post sports related? Pretty, pretty clever, eh?
I think we have a candidate for the Dumbass of the Year award. Suns guard Devin Booker was on Instagram bragging about riding his bicycle with no hands then an hour later he has a mysterious hand injury that needs surgery that will keep him out of the start of training camp. Oh yeah he just signed a 5yr/158M contract a month ago.

Sorta like Big Ben and the Motorcycle accident several years ago.
Ron Gant, Atlanta Braves, his dirt bike accident comes to mind as well.
