Re: Mitch, finally I have my revenge!
<< <i>Griv - I am sitting here with Justin, and we both agree that is a very neat coin! Congrats! Justin never bought a Jefferson MEL either as he decided to focus his collection on business strike Pres $1's. One day, I would love to see your incredible Mint State $50 Gold Eagle collection!! Wondercoin >> Well, you know… -
Re: Interesting note on this month's PSA special...CALLING CAROL!!
<< <i>It is a typo. I'll have the web guys fix it. Thanks for letting me know. Carol >> Ah I am going to start crying just finished labeling 178 1994/95 Upper Deck Be a player (hockey) autographed cards to have them graded and slabbed. Seriously I wish PSA would allow autographed cards from manufacturers back to 1990 which… -
Re: Fake Desert Shield
Yesterday a beat up box of 36 packs of what the seller said was Desert Shield .Said he found a box and a half in a storage locker buy.I had him send a copy of the Shield from one the packs he opened,it was fake like others have been on ebay, over last few months. That box sold for over 94 hundred dollars. There is still a lot… -
Re: Has anyone returned cracked out labels lately?
I've been watching numbers bounce all over the place for under 100 pops next to the big bump in price/grade. It's odd and I'm thinking it might have to do with them finally clearing dups/resubmissions. When I bought one saint the price was around 4K when the pop was 94. That price almost doubled when the pop dropped to 78… -
Re: I'm an ON and I work in a shop, ask me anything and I'll answer!! Please make 'em tough.
bullion coins - more profit on raw flips as bullion, 69 slabbed, or 70 slabbed? (PCGS slabs of course). the internet allows me to price for stuff like Kookaburas, Pandas, all the Canadian stuff and slabbed ASE's. I do that when we buy and double check when we sell. ASE's are pretty easy because it's a straight price except… -
Re: Stack's auction is up
In the "Internet Only" section you're going to find a few interesting lots. Some are NoGrades that are by no means obnoxious. A British cataloguer might call them "useful". Read my "Numismatist" Auctions Results column from maybe 2 years ago. It's titled "Lots Of Opportunity" Skimming over the rare schlock and the crap and… -
Re: 2013 American Eagle West Point Two-Coin Silver Set
<< <i> Now, if the set were limited to 50,000.... >> Yep, that's the problem. There will be to many of this issue. 300K plus is not rare. The 92 through 94 proof ASEs held significant premiums a few years ago, until more "somewhat low" mintage ASEs came along (all burnished ASEs, 2006 and 2012 rev proofs, 2012 S mint… -
Re: Were there any surprises in the Pogue sale?
EC, My spirit guide (Robin Williams) often gives me words to speak of which I myself do not have full understanding. I am being force-fed in Esperanto. By someone who doesn't have a Redbook. Some things actually on topic? TDN got the '94 half at a bargain-basement price. Kudos .... The Half Disme in MS64 might be the 8th… -
Re: The coins are safe, I hope the people are as well.
Got robbed and pistol whipped working a gas station senior year of college. Started open carrying my old 45 on my hip on the job after that. Sherrifs would come in for coffee, see me strapped (CCW since '94), said they loved to see that and wish more folks would, and then each and every one of them said shoot to kill.… -
