Re: Are SMS coins going to be given the FT designation?
Interesting question! I would guess no, they won't give SMS coins the FT designation. If you look at Jefferson SMS nickels, all of the 65-67 coins get the CAM or DCAM designation, since these were semi-proof coins. The '94 and '97 SMS Jeffersons do get the Full Step designation, but no CAM's or DCAM's, maybe because these… -

The 10th current finest 48 Leaf set on the Reg is 94% complete and missing the Robinson. Maybe he would… -
Re: Neat Large Cent error
<< <i> << <i>How is the reverse double struck but not the obverse? And no indent on the front from a blank planchet >> I think you have it backwards, the coin in the OP probably created a nice indent brockage in a second planchet. That would explain the lack of a second obverse strike and and the mushy details of the first… -

Re: Confused on what is market acceptable
Confused? You are not alone. We had a coin come back Genuine (code 94 Altered Surface). Examining the coin, we could see nothing other the die markers of the variety so we cracked it out again and re submitted it. The second time it came back Genuine (code 91 Questionable Color). The coin is a 90 percent silver and has… -

Re: Wowee! PSA 10 '84 Stephenson sells for...
PSA 9's bring $100+, so the PSA 10 hammer price isn't completely and totally out of whack. How many PSA 10's sell for 20-25x what a PSA 9 sells for? I can think of a bunch- Arod 94 SP, 86 Topps Jerry Rice, 86 Fleer Dominique Wilkins.... I mean the guy is a HOFer and this is the only PSA 10 that will fill several different… -
Re: 2006-W American Gold Eagle Uncirculated - Rarity???
My 2 cents: More important than anything is DEMAND. The 94-S Dime just sold for $1,900,000.00 and there are about 9 known to still exist. Why? DEMAND. I have a number of pattern nickels in my set from the 1800's where there were only 6-12 coins minted (and less known) and they sell for under $10,000.00 each. Why? Little… -
Re: Are Franklins the next coin due for a "marketed runup"?
Collectors just don't love them collectors have made the Franklin Half PCGS Registry one of the most popular and loved series out there ......... and yes, they are long overdue for a significant price run up but that would take the combined efforts of the serious , respected promoters of these coins and the one or two I'm…
