Re: How sad is this?
You can't be serious? TV Coin hawkers don't sell self graded coins in Coin World (Amos Advantage) holders! Scammers do though........... This dude is simply trying a new scam approach that addresses folks pity for his supposed "stupidity" when the real stupid one will be the high bidder in this scammer's game. -
Re: New and improved EBay ripoff attempt
<< <i> << <i> << <i>it is still possible both the PO and the recipient did not think of the change of address. However, it is highly unusual that the recipient went to the local PO, forgetting they submitted the change of address, and was not told about their own change of address by the PO people, which that PO should be… -
Re: Dealer policies with a tinge of "attitude"...
I feel for him. Can’t say really blame him. Lame eBay buyers, flake outs can take their toll. What is hilarious is when the flake out (or scammer) botches the return and does not return by deadline or too stupid providing any tracking. Then no return allowed lol. I believe there are a lot of scammers who initiate returns… -
Re: Huge fight over a presumed "stolen card"
That is very true.. The whole trade/stolen thing could turn into the savior for the scammer. There would have to be solid proof the scammer knew the cards were altered after the pre-grade process something that is going to be very hard to do. I think best solution would be fore the 2 parties to split the proceeds as they… -

<< <i>If a scammer does not know a persons ebay handle they can't send bogus 2nd chance offers. >> And replaced with a scenario where the scammer knows that people can't alert high bidders on bogus auctions and fake coins any more. Plus we never get to see "scumnuker" winning these bogus auctions any more, either. -
Re: $40,000 Silver penny

Scammers usually have a reasonable chance of getting the money they want. This guy can't be a real scammer because he would know that no one in their right mind would plunk down that kind of money for that numismatic marvel. Maybe he is trying to impress his girlfriend by showing her one of his coins he has up for auction. -
Re: Ebay is getting absolutely ridiculous ...
<< <i>For that matter, I propose that we stick to my orginal topic of Ebay coin scammers and shill bidders ... DON'T YOU JUST HATE THEM??? >> Good idea. Now post the links of auctions you feel have been shilled. The only way to stop these scammers is to out them publically -- name 'em and shame 'em. -
Re: A ? about Paypal...hopefully not too OT.
Generally it is not a scam. I don't know for sure how much buyer protection you would have. I do it all the time as a seller when I am contacted by previous customers. Since I am not a scammer, they are not protected. 99.9% of ebay sellers are not scammers so the odds are with you on this one. --Jerry -
Re: How do we get this lsiting ended?
"So are "posse" ebay id's sacraficial and get naru'd after use or does ebay look the other way when the seller is a scammer?" //////////////////////////////////////// As a general practice, EBAY is much harder on folks who meddle on the side of right, than they are on scammers. Happily, there is little that the venue can… -
