Re: Forsythe Collection of Walking Liberty Half Dollars
I remember when Pinnacle had the 16-S (in its rattler holder) and the 18-S up for sale. The total at that time was $135K. I wanted those two coins so badly I played the lotto for several weeks until they were sold. Then there are the GBW set coins that were rolled into the Forsythe set (19-D and 21-S, among others). It… -
Re: 1992 bowman any thoughts?
I too am a vintage collector. 1992 Bowman is a great modern set. The product is plentiful in high grade. Many of the star cards have multiple PSA 10's available. If you can afford to be patient upgrade as much of this product to PSA 10 as you can. At one time I had a rather nice 1990 Leaf collection with 19 different PSA… -
Re: 20-S and 26-D buffs. Progress on my AU dates!
Thanks for all the kind words. I knew they were must haves as soon as I saw them. I called the seller this AM just to make sure someone hadn’t beaten me to the bunch, and they hadn’t. Both are graded PCGS 58. Luckily I have unspent Baltimore cash for this large-for-me purchase, although I probably would have made the… -

Re: 1955 topps all americans on the BAY
To answer all the inquiries about cost.......................the only cost to date (besides the grading at PSA) was the original cost to the purchaser, who was in the toy business in the 1950's. Yes, he paid approx. 5 cents per pack, as they retailed for 10 cents per pack. These are just some of the ones that never sold… -
Re: Latest Sub Popped Today (Updated with scans 6/28/19) :)
Still hard to figure why some orders get done so quickly while others lag for months...I sent in 121 Topps baseball cards from the 80's, 90's and early 2000's...all base cards, all star cards...so yes, a pretty easy order to grade....received 2/19/2019 and shipped today...and it was actually done last Friday but I was… -
Re: Bogus Registry Sets
Gerry, I really must be honest about this. I have to admit that once, long ago, before your set was even complete and certainly before it was ever posted, I entered the cert # of your 19-S into my set. I was curious to see what it would do to my set if I had still owned it. It was there for about 2 minutes and I quickly… -

Re: Too many Wheat Cents so now what?
I've had 19 giveaways in the last month or so and have added a handfull of wheat cents from the 50's with most of the giveaways just to get rid of them. Sent a big hadful to one very courtious YN also. When the pile got down to a few hundred or so I just gave them to a coin dealer I've known for many years that always…
