Re: Are there fake pedigreed coins around?
<< <i>I was discussing the counterfeit coin/counterfeit slab situation with a fellow numismatist, and he replied that now, more than ever, provenance may be critical. With that in mind, does anyone know of any examples of coins that were altered to resemble one from a particular well-known collection? I mean adding toning… -

You could find a local B&M, pawn shop, jewelry store, etc. who is buying gold and sell it to them. Or, you could send it to Midwest Refineries. They have… -

Re: 2007 Topps 52 Rookies
I opened a few packs of these today from walmart. Other than what I want, I wouldn't mind trading off the few extras I have for Braves or Rays. Re: Is there a QDB book called "50 Favorite Numismatic Pearls"?
Yes, More Adventures in Rare Coins indeed contains a chapter on Yankee Robinson. I would bet it is the same book. I am reading it right now, and it might be my favorite QDB yet. It would be cool and eclectic (and very expensive) to create a type set of 50 coins from the 50 chapters. For those of us of more modest means, we… -

Re: What we do (besides collect cards)
I'm a software developer for a company that deals with 401K's and Retirement Plans. Just got this gig a few months ago after a 8 month layoff. Aside from collecting Nolan Ryan cards, I enjoy playing computer and video games, and as a pet project I am currently developing my own game. I also live and die in Cubby blue, and…
