The pattern continues. Zep buys box, Zep pulls sweet card. Rinse and repeat.

    Nice card, btw.

I get plenty of crappy boxes of stuff too. I pulled a lot of nice stuff this year though.

I did only buy 1 box of this though and pretty much got what I wanted. Not sure if I'll try to put the set together though.

Keeping the Elsbury, first card I got of him and being a Sox fan, pretty happy pulling that one. Also one of the best chrome card condition wise I've seen. No bumps, scrapes or anything on it

I see #6 is on ebay right now at $34.00 with a day left.

Zep sell it on eBay now while that set is in play, then buy it back in 6 months for 25% of what you sold it for.

If anyone is working on this set, I have lots of dupes and they are actually sorted
Bought 5 boxes so far and have 1 more to crack later today sometime

pulled some more cool stuff besides the red auto of Casilla and Gold Ellsbury

#14/20 Debut Ticket Stub card of Juston Upton
    Phil Hughes auto redemption
    Gold #02/52 Kyle Kendrick
2 sequentially numbered Joba Chamberlain Chrome #s 1122 and 1123/1952 from same box

still need a few SPs and variations but wont bother with a list until I'm done opening

Does Will Middlebrooks have a card in this set? May be listed as William if he is..

here's the checklist. I don't see his name on it

Thanks. I don't think Will qualifies under the new rules for that set and being a fifth round pick he may get overlooked by a few manufacturers. He was projected as a top 20 pick though but his signability was an issue.

I bought a blaster today at Target and I kinda like it. Got a rookie chrome (Patterson), a debut flashback chrome (Posada), a Mantle that looks like its snowing in the background, and 2 Lincecums in the same pack (one being the pose variation). What are the guarantees in the hobby version, and what are they going for per hobby box?

Another great set. I paid 75 for my Hobby Boxes. I'm sure they are around cheaper - 20 pack boxes
    3 autos per box

pulled another red auto from my last box

and the Upton ticket from an earlier box

That Cherry auto sells pretty well - should get around $20-$25 for it. He is the only blue auto in Group C I believe.

Just got in from the holiday, I've been absent for awhile, but I'm pretty much back and ready to enjoy the hobby now that the season is over.

Happy New Year to everyone! May it be blessed.

Just picked up a blaster box of these to check them out. I like the design, but the SPs are apparently killer.

Here are the highlights from my 8 packs:

I'm doing the auto set this year as well. I only opened 1 pack - got the same Matt Brown auto from a $6 pack at the local money pit, and quit while I ws "ahead." Blaster boxes seem to have about 1 auto per on average, but I haven't seen anything other than commons pulled from them. Still, getting a nice on-card Topps auto in a $20 box is always fun.

You won't be saying that in 2015 after like 15 straight years of having the '52 design pushed down your throat. The card companies have an unbelievable ability to take a good idea and force it down our throats until we're tired of it.

GU cards, refractors, #d cards, parallels, holograms, redemptions, errors.......

I'm not sure if I'm going to collect these in the long term when I can drum up some entertainment money, but the wife picked up a pack for me tonight. I pulled this card. 29/52.

    Kevin,

The paper checklist that came in my blaster lists Joba as card 201,

I'm trying to put together a base set of this stuff for cheap. Let me know what you want for your 7 packs. (if you're not going to keep them)

As of today I've only been able to buy two blasters and 6 hang pack, so my inventory is small.
No auto's, but I do have several of the cards that are numbered to /1952
    TRCR51 Shane Youman 0013/1952
    TRCR82 Jon Knott 0660/1952
    DFC7 Paul Lo Duca 0263/1952

So I stopped by a Target off of 610 West in Houston this evening, and grabbed a few loose pack of 52 Rookies. Nothing special, but I did pull a Tejada Debut Flashback (DF8) card.

Here is the thing, is this an uncorrected error card?

If I remember correctly, the other Debut Flashback cards I have back east in Georgia lack the "Rookie Card" logo under the "52 Topps" logo, but the Tejada says "Rookie Card." Obviously this isn't a rookie card, any info on it?

It's a uncorrected error. They added the RC logo to the Tejada Debut Flashback, but somehow forgot to add it to the ENTIRE rookie autograph checklist. At first I thought this might be to skirt the new RC rules somehow, but the 2006 autos had the logo.

Does anyone know what picture is harder to find in the short prints that have two differents pictures?
Is it the Pose, or the Action shot that's harder to find?
For some reason I have been getting a lot of the action shots.
    Thanks

    Thanks for the answer.

Is it typical to get less than mint cards in modern packs?
I bought a blaster last night and I got a lot of cards that have ticked (chipped) corners. In fact, I looked over the other cards I have and I bet about 30% have at least one chiped corner. I don't plan on getting them graded, but I would expect better condition right out of the box.

    Is anyone doing the refractors?
