NEW P has it been MS-70'd? (PCGS GRADE IN)
Hers one I just got and im wondering from the rainbow loot around head and letters. Has it been MS-70'd? do you think it will straight grade? If so what? Chris -
1929 Buffalo.....one that actually has a decent strike....Grade revealed
Didn't really need the coin, but it is not too often you come across a 1929 with a decent strike. The reverse is quite impressive in my opinion for the date. Buff guys....feel free to share your opinions....including grade. -
Darkside "wonder coins": who has the highest grades?
I've really enjoyed the scans that have been posted here lately, many of the coins are in amazing states of preservation for their age; so that got me thinking......... Has this ever happened to you (grade jump) when examining a coin?
I just took a 1920 Buffalo nickel out of its holder. It has a clip. My gut reaction said genuine, XF-40. This is the normal time many are said to examine a coin - under seven seconds. What kind of toning would say this Morgan has? GRADE POSTED
At first I thought it might be album toning, particularly due to the ring of blue on the reverse, but the reverse also looks like envelope toning. What do you think it is? Oh - and if you'd care to guess the grade, by all means - I'll post it in a little while -
Does PCGS email the submitter when the submission has been graded?
I looked for this answer over the weekend, and I'm sure it's probably there somewhere, but I can't find it. I know I can check back on my order very easily online but was curious about an email "alert". Thanks -

Has PCGS tightened its grading during the past few months?
I think so. I'm just curious how they'll increase revenue if the submitters aren't winning. Let's face it, main reason to submit coins and pay grading fees is to ultimately make a profit, especially if this is what you do to make a living. HRH once posted years ago, "We try to grade the coins as high as possible." -
Checking prices in various grades has changed with the new website......AND NOT FOR THE BETTER!!!
