Re: A look at the Semi Quincentennial silver Proof set
Glad you got them direct @BillJones ! 4 of 6 of my sets are keepers. 2 will be heading back for tidy $490 refund. In all these years I have never bought a proof set from the Mint. Have all the ones my Dad bought in 1975 - 1979 among other things. He really liked the 71S Unc Ikes. I have like a roll of blue packs. I liked… -
FS: PSA 1 1895 Mayo's Bill Dahlen
Great eye appeal for a "1" as you can see. As you might suspect given how nice the front is, there is some back damage. I'd be happy to provide a scan to any interested parties. Price is $500 shipped, payable by check or PP gift. Yes, this is above VCP, but this is much nicer than your average 1 in my opinion. PM if… -
ANA Report Day 1
Still have dinner tonight before concluding day 1... Highlights in no particular order: 1. Acquired a 50% interest in a very rare half eagle and another scarce half eagle at the absolute last table in the whole place which I am a little sad to not 100% own 2. Found some old holdered gem 1800's foreign coins. An 1822 10F… -
What to buy with $5,500 making .1% interest?
I already have 6,500 ounces of silver with 1/3 in 90% (mostly walkers and merc's) and 2/3 in .999 which is mostly Eagles and Maples along with JM and Engelhard 1 oz. bars. I do have roughly 10 ounces of gold and about an ounce of platinum. I have been checking the price of slabbed MS-63 and 64 $10 libs and Indians and am… -
1913 Type 1 Buffalo Counterfeit Diagnositcs
I have a great looking Type 1 Buffalo. From the looks of it, it would grade as a MS66 or so. Which for me sounds a little too good to be true. Does anyone have any 1913 Type 1 Buffalo Counterfeit Diagnostics? It would be helpful in determining if I should send the coin in. The only odd thing about it is that the reverse is… -

Re: NEWP: Hungary 1/4 Taler Hogmouth - Colors!
Nice new leopold. Lovely colors. Are the 1/4 Talers rare? I though 1/4 T. were 15 kreuzers? First time I am seeing a 15 kreuzer with 1/4 on the coin. -
1% Clipped CBH!
Here's an interesting CBH error. Kudos to @PhilArnold for the great photo. It's really nice to see these old PCGS slabs with some close ups!
