Are the 1/4 Talers rare? I though 1/4 T. were 15 kreuzers?
First time I am seeing a 15 kreuzer with 1/4 on the coin.

1486: Sigismund of Tirol issues his 31.93g Guldengroschen of 60 Kreuzers and 937.5 fineness.
1551: A new money ordinance is decreed in Augsburg that lowers the guldiner's purity to 882.0, but raises the weight of the coin to 31.18g. This returns the coin to being the equal value of a Goldgulden. The Thaler is now equivalent to 72 Kreuzer.
1559: After the death of the Holy Roman Emperor Charles V, yet another money ordinance is decreed at Augsburg, this time radically altering the coin (now to be called a Reichsguldiner) down to a mass of just 24.62g, but returning the coin to 931.0 fineness. This sets the Guldiner to be equivalent to 60 Kreuzer once again.

Just an amazing piece - it has all the factors needed like a remarkable obverse in terms of instant eye appeal.
Toned color scheme rocks too.
The strike is crisp and original for a coin 300+ years like Senex notes its absurd to find it as such.
Totally original b/c you can't fake that look so its totally original.
Well graded? You bet! I can see it in a 64 holder too - but these are tough to grade when you get to such levels.
Whats the diff between a 63 and a 66 in such a piece? very very difficult to tell - more liklely a personal judgement call.
Abit more gold on the tail or a mini nick less on the reverse? Naaa buy the coin if you got that question.
The reverse while more muted in terms of eye appal and chareristics of the obverse still carries its own.
